I cant make the insole numbers out on the Florsheim Royal Imperial tassel loafers, but do the rolls in the leather and the lack of fine creases say shell to the experts here?

I vote shells.

Ahh, I glossed over the large size. The button stance is really that low, even though it's dated 2002?? Hmm. It's your call, but I think I'd probably still grab at least the suit. Assuming that's a European size 60 (50 US...if not, then clearly this belonged to Andre the Giant, not any of the mere mortals in your picture), it may take awhile to move, but it's too good to pass up.

Also, the blue orphan jacket sounds like it was a suit at some point in the store and the pants just got separated, since it was priced at $45 while the birdseye was only $6. If you decide to get the Poole tux, I'd probably check over the store for the pants to complete the blue suit.

Yeah, all 3 jackets look like they were made in the 80s until I looked at the make tag. I was a bit surprised to see they were recently made. I will bring my tape measure next time I'm there. Hmmmm, maybe the birdseye was a SC that's why they listed as $6? Nahhhh, they just fucked up! lol I think if they are there next time, I'll at least pick up one...

Wow! This thread is on fire lately. Hermes Lambskin overcoats, people passing up recent Henry Poole but finding recent Charvet pocket squares inside, Dark Matter renting U-Hauls for his finds and John Lobbs?!?! Insane!
Paid up a bit for my finds, but still way cheaper than in the US or on Self Edge.

Those are beautiful!

Came across a pair of Paul Stuart corduroys and 2 pairs of canali pants that were too beat up to resell, and had to leave behind a pair of zanella trousers in great shape because they only accepted cash. I shan't repeat this rookie mistake, and will return tomorrow. I told the cashier I was going to return later today, and asked if I should just put the pants back, hoping they'd hold them for me. He barely looked up from whatever smut he browsing on some old, dust covered desktop and muttered a yes. I put them back alright, I put them back real good.

Uhm Spoo!!!
Is it real, worth anything? Where is that signal when I need it?
Quality. I will either wear this with a little tailoring or consign to Spoo depending.

Some recent finds, all available:

Etro cotton pants (size EU 54 (US 44), actual waist/inseam is 38/32):

Side loops:

Interesting buttons:

Lots of texture to the striped pattern:

Band of Outsiders white button-down shirt (size 3/Large):

And then, one of my best finds so far:

Ermenegildo Zegna relatively recent blue 100% cashmere car coat (size EU 54/US 44/XL) with slant pockets, very soft fabric:

Pick-stitching around the lapels, collar, pocket flaps, and the back:

Has a hidden button that can be used to close the coat entirely:

i think that's only 2-3 years old. i tried on a coat like that and it was so sweet i almost bought it ... think the list was in the neighborhood of $2,000. the fact that i would even momentarily think about buying a coat that cost that much is a testament to how sweet it really is.

EG did make for Nordies back when. I think the 80's, though correct me if I'm wrong. They also made some shoes for Cole Haan and I THINK Tom James - someone in this thread has a pair like that, though the name is escaping me at the moment.

The 202 last there is pretty conclusive that those are the EG's made for Nordies.

Finding one of these "off brand" EG's is one of my dream thrift finds. Hell, any EG at all is still a grail for me - thrifted or not! Congrats!

Ughhhh. Barrel, I told you to get them ALL, including the Hogg haha. On the button stance, given how fat that guy in the pic is, wouldn't a high button stance make his gut look even worse? Im trying to vizualize it.
