What must it be, then, to bear the manifold tortures of hell forever? Forever! For all eternity! Not for a year or an age but forever. Try to imagine the awful meaning of this. You have often seen the sand on the seashore. How fine are its tiny grains! And how many of those tiny grains go to make up the small handful which a child grasps in its play. Now imagine a mountain of that sand, a million miles high, reaching from the earth to the farthest heavens, and a million miles broad, extending to remotest space, and a million miles in thickness, and imagine such an enormous mass of countless particles of sand multiplied as often as there are leaves in the forest, drops of water in the mighty ocean, feathers on birds, scales on fish, hairs on animals, atoms in the vast expanse of air. And imagine that at the end of every million years a little bird came to that mountain and carried away in its beak a tiny grain of that sand. How many millions upon millions of centuries would pass before that bird had carried away even a square foot of that mountain, how many eons upon eons of ages before it had carried away all. Yet at the end of that immense stretch time not even one instant of eternity could be said to have ended. At the end of all those billions and trillions of years eternity would have scarcely begun. And if that mountain rose again after it had been carried all away again grain by grain, and if it so rose and sank as many times as there are stars in the sky, atoms in the air, drops of water in the sea, leaves on the trees, feathers upon birds, scales upon fish, hairs upon animals – at the end of all those innumerable risings and sinkings of that immeasurably vast mountain not even one single instant of eternity could be said to have ended; even then, at the end of such a period, after that eon of time, there mere thought of which makes our very brain reel dizzily, eternity would have scarcely begun.

Hmmm, for some strange reason I kinda want to see @Ian Erickson write this.

Nice! I had to leave behind a copy a couple months ago (unplayable). I had never heard them but like good clothes good albums have their tells. Looked it up later and it's on my want list for sure. I've got all day to thrift tomorrow and I think I'm most excited to dig through records.

Afternoon gents,

Just wondering if anyone can help me determine (from the photo) whether the Sulka & Celine (from a recent thrift) are fake?

With regards

I'd like to introduce ReubenR to the thread.

He has been a loyal customer of TheSEAMstore for about 2 years. He has snagged some great and unusual vintage pieces from me during that time. He has a good eye for quality, even in items without a label. It has been a pleasure to deal with him, every time. No one here should have any hesitation to deal, trade, or converse with him.

Please join me in welcoming ReubenR

Thanks guys, I appreciate the welcome! Wes, that 3-patch, 3/2 navy BB sack blazer is still my favorite odd jacket by far and that killer burgundy flannel is the cat's pajamas with some blackwatch plaid trousers. Looking forward to that sweet fair isle getting in, too.

Thanks! Any idea what the brand is? Now that I know it's denim I'm dying to know if I copped some nice SW&D shit.

Skeets, including a wearable NWT cashmere blend scarf

Inco x3 on the left, Borrelli RLPL on the right. All flat front.

But this is the best. If only Mrs. Spoo golfed and was a size 39 shoe.

NWOB Boa (prob not real; Spoo pls confirm) golf shoes.
I've no idea if they're real snake or not (probably not), but they seemed too cool to pass up. The kilt is only attached to the laces, no the shoes.

Definitely pick it up if you see it, even at a record store. They were from the East Coast if I recall correctly but definitely had a strong West Coast sound, in my opinion. Slightly reminiscent of Jefferson Airplane of that era.

You're right. This has the visual signs of being a great album. Strange band name, brightly dressed hippies on the cover and promising song titles. Couldn't wait to get home to clean it and spin it.

Not sure they make denim...But that tag screams Paul Stuart to me...

Man, got to say... as someone who just popped the question a few days ago, it's pretty weird coming on here and seeing all the ring talk all of a sudden. Best of luck to you all. Now I need to thrift myself a planner.

Also, nice finds all! Especially that RLPL raincoat, thing looks incredibly wearable.

It's also a weird behaviour to take a picture of one's self and to post it to the Internet, but here we all are... on a site called StyleForum...

And yes, as eazye said there will always be jerks on here who critique anyway. Speaking of which...

Hey, good thing you re-posted all of those pics to really drive home the hilarity of your point.

ON second thought, this might not be a Paul Stuart shirt...

@Nataku, just got the stuff you sent.

I guess I'm going to cuddle with the first pair of selvedge jeans I own tonight. They fit better than any pants I've traded on here! Thanks for the extras as well. So excited to have this 'first' for me :)

What'd you end up getting?

I traded nataku something I'd found that he'd wanted for himself and he happened to have a pair of unbranded jeans in my size. I think all my pants are like 2 sizes big in the waist since pants with my waist size always feel weird on me, so I end up with a droopy waist but a good fit everywhere else. These feel great though and will be better when they stretch out a bit.

I'll probably pick up another pair or two over the next little bit as well in addition to the awesome jeans that @size 38R is sending me! So it begins. Damn you guys! :)

Edit: The weirdest thing is that these are sized a 34. Nataku, I know you'd rinsed them but do they fit that small usually?
