Finally found a pair of shell cordovan in my size. These are Hanover. They were pretty sad looking when I picked them up but they bounced back remarkably well when I conditioned and shined them. They haven't been kept in trees but I'm thinking I can get them to level out a bit with consistent tree storage. I will probably need new heels/soles soon but hey, they cost me $10!
Also found a cool light tan herringbone Lands End jacket, will be great for casual wear. And finally a couple of pairs of winter weight wool polo trousers.
Swung by a very wealthy doctor's estate sale today. Second day it's been going on. I should have went yesterday - looks like I missed some great stuff. I found lots of shoe bags from Alden Custom and Edward Green. Alas, no shoes though. All that were left were a bunch of worn out Bally shoes. I did get a cool vintage umbrella for $1 and a 1930s art deco rotary phone for $3.
I have been looking for a nice beige unlined blazer for the summer and today I found a great one for $4.99 at a Salvation Army which pretty cool. Its from RW&Co which clearly isnt the pinacle of quality but it looks pretty good and for $5 I really have no regrets if it doesnt last long. It looks to have never really been worn since it still has the pockets and vent sewn shut.
