I don't have a huge amount of time to spend thrifting, so I have to make strategic decisions on how to best spend that time. I often use the first couple areas (suits, outerwear, shirts) to determine if it might be better to just move on to another store. I wish my area gave me more reasons to thrift the other sections.

This is where I love my job. 4 days a week 10 hours a day. Saturday I thrift, Sunday I box things as they get bids and label them so they only need a postage slap, Monday I drop off the packages (risky neighborhood) and go thrift more. It's been great since I got my new job.

I found a women's NWT North Face knockoff yesterday. You could tell by the tags that it was a fake but otherwise looked decent until you inspected the logos and stitching. Would have picked it up for my wife, but based on the price, the store thought it was real.

Sitting in the airport waiting for a flight as I write and just discovered the P.J. O'Rourke book I bought at Goodwill yesterday for the trip is a signed first edition. Not worth a lot but still pretty cool for 50 cents.

Nope, I take my photos like this, just as crappy:

But alas. The thread has turned into a where do I get a good Mannequin and how much can I sell this jacket for, which I often find myself taking part in as well. Damn capitalism.

Your jacket looks like it had a really drunk night where it's holding the metal stand crying "HOLD ME" while waving around a white iPhone charger furiously.

I decided to stop by a spot out in the burbs on my way in this morning. I've never found much of anything at this spot but I figured it would be my last time out here, so what the hell.
