Anyone want this? I can proxy on it. I pretty much fell in love with it, but it is a 46R and I'm a measly 40. This this is in perfect condition and is HEAVY duty (weighs a good 5lbs or more). I would have rescued it for the sake of rescuing, but I couldn't justify the $13 price on my new "penny-pinching budget". PM me if interested.

Also found this HF that was an XXL. Had a couple of small pin-sized holes in inconspicuous places on it so I passed - would have bought it if it fit me, but if anyone wants it, I can proxy it, too.

Thank you Sir :slayer:

Regards.

Seems they are a European based company. They must specialize in shirts as that's all I've ever found from them. They only have one US outlet listed and that is on Madison Ave in NYC. Retail on these shirts are $250-ish.

I'd recommend picking them up if you see them for personal wear or sell on here. Relatively unknown name but nice stuff.

Huh, do you guys want them?? I've passed up a number of them here. I think I've gotten some of their stuff on Lufthansa/Austrian Air flights. There isn't really a second hand market here.

Also of note to remove smells from bags and smaller items, supposedly tea bagging them will work... And by that I mean take unused black tea bags and throw them in the various compartments of an old bag or backpack. Supposedly absorbs up the funk.

Turns out austin104 and wild1erica live about 10 miles apart. Judging from the timeline of the opened unpaid item case and the timing / language of their messages, they most likely know each other and are working together to harrass me. This is probably not going to turn out so good.

wes - what's the address to her blog?

Haha, should clarify. My dad likes them
shog[1].gif
If any of you guys that normally pass on them want to pick up some of the less egregious ones in XXL get at me!

There is nothing wrong with Tommy B, Robert G, Nat Nast others... the baby bloomers love' em.

If you check the Ebay sales of the three labels I mentioned above you will see that they do quite well. In fact better then 90% of the brands discussed in this thread.

Baby Bloomers are trading (donating) in their work clothes for leisure luxury lines. And as we know they are the only ones with disposable income in this country...

Or you can throw them in a trash bag with an open box of baking soda, seal the bag for a few days... take them out and air them for 24 hours... repeat as needed...

did this with a leather jacket that must have been owned by a 60 a day smoker... all of them smoked while wearing the jacket... worked well... no chemical/stain risk either

BB Tweed. Made in Scotland. 46 R. I think the tag means it's from Fall 2006.

It's in near-mint shape and would have been a super score if it was shorter and smaller.

Are decent condition Johnston and Murphy oxford shoes worth picking up? I recently ran into a pair and passed, but now I'm rethinking. I know they make some nice shoes but not sure about ability to sell on 'em as I haven't seen to many in here (I could definitely be mistaken) and know they are just about mid grade in quality, correct? I have some pics on the phone that I'll attempt to upload in a bit.

Also, there's still that lanvin sportcoat available at one of my locals, been there since I posted a pic of the label like a month back, most likely because of price (flippers won't touch it at like $50) and awkward size (it's like a 40-42 short, and I mean SHORT). Really lovely material and construction though. Its a silvery grey. If anyone is interested, I can go back and get some more pictures and perhaps negotiate a better price. I wouldn't mind getting it to one of you guys at cost (just pay the shipping so I'm not out money), as I'd love to see that beauty go to a good home instead of hanging there forlornly.

And random, but Cerrutti had a made in Italy collab with Banana Republic? That was an interesting LNWOT piece I saw today at housing works, but unfortunately it was $180

Sucks because I've seen a handful of Cerrutis at great prices but they've all been mangled (holes, stains) or made in China (FUUUUUUUUU) and a finally find an Italian made one and its stupid money....

Also, black vintagish/nicely worn Trafalgar pebbled leather belt for $15, yea or nay?

I immensely appreciate the advice/this thread guys, so here's just a huuuuge thank you! I've noticed I'm slowly, very slowly, sharpening my preferences/tastes and honing my "thrifting eye," and it's all thanks to you guys/this thread haha

Edit: J & M oxfords/captoes crappy iphone pic:

Again, yea/nay?

Edit 2:
Reposted pics of Lanvin label if anyone is interested in me proxying it for you at cost (gotta give back to this awesome site if I can ), I wish I had pics of the whole thing....

I have been trying to hunt it down, but have not had any luck. Perhaps she/he is bluffing. I also noted today,..not only do they live very close to each other, but the suit that had the description she complained about is the same size as the one the other guy bought. I really think they are in on this together. I just wish I had more evidence. It's just too coincidental. The other buyer has attempted to hide his name from both ebay and paypal, by using his username on the addresses, but he must have forgotten that his email was his name. According to googel, and the address cross reference, he is a lawyer in Marietta (ATL) Georgia.

I did find a forum wild1erica started on ebay forums about her dissatisfaction with listings for laptops being sold for parts...you can check it out...she is off her rocker.

Christ, are they still harassing you?! Is this a sport for some people?

I still have the Romanians on me. They're blocked, I reversed the transaction and have called eBay about them. Yesterday, I received two messages from them. The first asking when I was shipping "their" shoes. The second was only a series of ??????. Keep in mind they still want these shoes after they called me racist, said I was discriminating against them, threatened to sue me and threatened to open a dispute.
