Seriously?
I believe Hermes will close the store for their "special customers"... might want to try there...
as far as covering the racks, have you tried saying, god forbid, "excuse me, would you mind if I look at that rack, thanks..." or is it just easier to kick the guy out of the way...
Now if he's trying on EVERY coat, he might have no idea what size he is, tried telling him where the label is? tried giving him an idea of his size to get started? course not... he's in the way... just harass him...
As far as thr guy trying on shirts, chances are he was after one for himself... ever consider he might have next to no money (thrift stores were traditionally not hangouts for flippers) he might have travelled a good distance (gas costs $$) and not want to have to bring it back... but most of all... he might not know there's a changing room... but why would we tell him...?
no offence, but some people in this thread should be ashamed of their attitudes...

+1

Positive energy and attitude far weights the negative ones.

First, I pile up finds in my cart or basket. I always park my cart right next to the rack and make sure it's not blocking any isles. If anyone wants to pass, all they have to say is, "Excuse me". No need to karate kick my cart unless we want to play a game of shopping cart pong or get kicked out the store. Second, I try on my finds at a spacious area where I'm not blocking others. Often than not, the changing rooms are occupied. Having shopping etiquette can go a long way.

All this talk of people trying on stuff in the isles reminded me of a local SA had no dressing rooms for years. All the attractive hipster girls would undress right there in the isles to try stuff on. All the guys in the store would try and walk by nonchalant, but would end up running into/tripping over each other while trying to sneak a peek. Made it worth going to that store.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

Found me a slim 38 navy that fits? Yes, please. Jil Sander. The sleeves are over 27", & the buttonholes would all disappear if I were to shorten them. But okay. I've seen sweaters & jackets that I've really liked but had the same issue (Billy Reid, etc.). Are there that many guys with Plastic Man arms that require these lengths?

I've found that RTW pieces with functional cuffs usually come with longer-than-normal sleeves since they can't be lengthened. If you really like it, want to keep it for yourself, and want to keep the functional cuffs, a good tailor can take them in at the shoulder. I did this with one and it was like $50.

First day out back home after 30 hours of travel and a day cleaning the ceilings of my high school. Thrift gods took pity. Everything is available.
Faconnable by Cantarelli (I think?) - double vent, 3 roll 2.5, great hand.

Wool tie for a local boutique with the same makers tag as a J Press I just picked up.

Borrelli tie - FU status

Hermes - 90% it's authenticate, because: I found it with the Borrelli and it has the thread "loop". Would appreciate any input.

Yes, we exist. :cloud: Picked up from the 'bay a couple weeks ago: 14AA Leeds in black cordovan, uncreased with unmarked soles -- One heel has eleven nails and the other has ten nails... but for $135 shipped that is just fine by me.

I am very attracted to these ties...

And guys, an Isles is a small island, and an aisles is that space we stand in while we go through the racks of clothing...

HOLD THE PHONE!

I was going through some of my pickups from the weekend haul, and decide to look up the maker of a couple of my Luciano Barbera Collezioni Sartoriale jackets. Are these who I think they are?

Those are indeed Attolini labels. It's really hard to lose with Barbera Sartoriale jackets - they're typically of a timeless cut which don't show their date and they're made by Attolini, Partenopea or Caraceni or so the legend goes.
