I've never spotted a flipper in my area (NW Indiana) but I'll leave clothing items I'm on the fence about or are too worn to be purchased and they'll be gone on next visit. Example a recent T&A shirt (the only recent label one I've ever seen) that had severely frayed cuffs and a tear in the collar. So I know other thrifters around here recognize labels and one of them has a nice new ammo bag. I guess I have to be appreciative of my area. I put in time and my "hauls" are few and far between but prices are low and there is a promotion everyday of the week.

I'm glad s_allen_p weighed in on this. I'll be in California in either Jan. or Feb. I'll never ask for any spot revealing or anything like that but I think you said you caught your Barneys haul as it was being wheeled out. Is that how most finds happen for you Cali guy? Just wondering if you guys think much stuff good makes it to the next day? Love your tumblr as well as all the other thrift thread members blogs.

I brought up some funky RMC jeans with a weird tag about a month ago. Lo and behold, they were still there at the thrift store on the rack. Anybody ever seen this on a pair of RMCs before:
*

Also, Found this and assumed it was counterfeit, but was curious if it might be some precursor to the black label.

Spoo; I don't see a lot of the stuff you post on eBay, do you sell somewhere else as well or do you have a storage locker full of stuff waiting to hit the bay?

I had already intended to FTFY even before everyone chimed in about how they think about what they're missing out on when they can't go out.

I still like to watch the scrum as it happens, they usually grab utter shit. Most of my scores that are on racks/carts get passed up by the first wave of people anyway. This behavior also varies from store to store. The most uncivilized action that I've witnessed has taken place at the shop closest to me.

Have seen several flippers, introduced myself to one.  Have only had mild rudeness, like someone starting to flip a few articles ahead of you.  I usually just move on to another aisle, only once did I play leap frog with a person and got back ahead of her.

Gah... just tried out Stein Mart this evening.  Complete waste of time, briefly considered some RG ties for $25 but figured it wasn't worth it.

Made the mistake of showing up on Senior day at a store today, couldn't figure out why the crazyness. There was tons of great stuff and 4 of 5 colors were half off (usually only 3)  with cart piled high I finally realized my mistake.  I wasn't getting 50% off nothing unless I was 50+ (including the normal tags that on any other day would have been less 50%).  Considered leaving the cart, instead got in line with someone, struck up a conversation, offered to pay for all his stuff if he would check out (over 50 obviously) he happily agreed. Cost me <$5 to save about $75.

Thrifted a suede jacket for myself. Don't want to take to the dry cleaners. Anyone know how to clean one yourself without messing up the jacket?

New, easy to join, simplified, short, scavenger hunt list posted. Benefit Philippines. Every first find from the list gets a donation and will be submitted to Ray's challenge which may net you a Brioni. Ends December 1st. Come on you flippers!
