I think, when it's of that vintage era (1940s - 1950s) there were a lot of regional/local manufacturers. It was an era of handcraftednedd (if that's a word). So they would have acquired the fabric from a mill and made the coat. Or they would have done what's done now and buy from a manufacturer and slap their label on it. The local gentry would have been quite pleased to have genuine vicuna branded/from the local top-end menswear store.
Yeah, I hate the way things are today--all the vicuna I find has Merona labels...
@YoungAmerican Thanks! Knocked one off my bucket list!! Finally got on PTO eBay Roundup
PS - Shout out to Wes for being the general good guy he is, thanks buddy.

I think I've posted this one but not 100% sure. Was going though old pics. It has about 30 more in it now then when I took the picture. I hardly ever wear a tie but its nice to have a good selection. Majority thrifted by myself for under $5

+1 Nothing TOO special but nice blue blazer. If you move your thumb I could prob even tell you what season it's from.
GAHHH even more CT competition.
But yeah, be prepared for a lot of individually priced/boutique items.
Also true. The one recent trip I took down that way there wasn't a ton in my size, but I snagged what I could and for that purpose it was certainly a good deal.
Been holding off on posting this one for quite some time. Found this spring/summer sometime. Not currently available, long gone....but not far from home.
Vintage 50's Agostino Caraceni Tweed, with shotgun shell buttons. I bought it for the buttons, didn't even realize what I had at first.
