Once said issues start getting litigated can we start an "Official Thrift / Discount Store Legal Issues thrift fits thread - COURTROOM EDITION"?

How about an introduction thread. Hi my name is Marc. I am a computer programmer. I am a dad also. I sell luxury items on e-bay to help pay the bills. This has brought me to this forum.

......... Your turn

Nice find! Not grail level, but certainly some decent jeans. Worth about $60.

Anyway, I've had a few patches of luck since returning to San Francisco.lh8uQf
First off was a great A&S tweed hacking jacket in a forest green and burnt orange plaid ($11 at the Salvation Army), which warmed me up for the shoes that followed: antiqued brown "vero norvegese" cap-toe brogue by Stefano Bi ($7.99 at the Goodwill); split-toe brown lace-up by Sutor Mantellassi ($9.99 at the same store). I also found a pair of unworn womens loafers by Lattanzi for Barneys NY; gorgeous shoes and I must say that once you hold the Lattanzis in your hand you immediately understand what the fuss is all about--everything about them is absolutely assured and perfectly executed; the curve of the sole is just mind-blowing. Anyway, it did cross my mind that iammatt has perhaps been cleaning out his shoe closet (and, if so, thanks, of course, though you'd hope GW could clear $30 for the haul). I also found a great pair of new Adidas Marathon 80 trainers in the grey and safety yellow colorway. I think tomorrow I may go press my luck some more.

Holy shit! Pejsek?? Is that you??

The Brubeck is the 1959 first release, but I hesitate to say it's worth what people seem to think it is (and I might be wrong, of course).

Nice finds!!

(Lawyer skips entire legal discussion because I come here for a brief, shining respite from my work)

Shout out to Hooker4186 for this killer Trafalgar tie.

I found a Hermes tie yesterday. Stained. So they gave me a "deal" on it and I was allowed to leave the store without having to part with a full Jackson.

ffffuuuu.gif

In other news, the Hermes is mostly red with blue elephants. I seem to recall thousands of posts ago (i.e., a couple of weeks ago) someone said something about wanting a Republican-y tie. If that were you, get at me.

I took a leap. I'm going to be pissed if the sole is full of holes.

I have the Getz on vinyl and listen to Brubeck on my ipod at least once a week. I just set up a turntable that I got in a furniture deal (posted here on Labour Day weekend). I'll be hitting the vinyl section more often now.

Thanks for all the replies re: Gilded Age denim. I have no knowledge about quality denim, so it's always good to learn something new.

I'm a camera enthusiast, so i have some quality Canon gear which helps.
I just lay the item on a projector roll out screen (thrifted) flat on the floor, then aim the on camera flash at the roof. I bounce it off the roof so that the light is more even, compared to the harsher light you get if you aim the flash straight at the item.

Eazy, don't forget you have his personal information and address.  Not suggesting anything, but you do have some cards at hand if you choose.

Best of luck buddy.

Thanks for the tip. Will be hunting for a projector roll out screen.
