Here is the haul from the past week or so. Was able to hit up some new spots on the way home from a conference 2 hrs from where I live. They had some seriously cheap prices compared to local finds.

Anyone ever see a shirt like this. Looks almost like sleep wear. No sleeve buttons, huge regular buttons. Was cheap and from Savile Row so thought it was worth a chance.

Lanvin Camel Hair - first camel hair I've bought as all others I've handled have been damaged. Fits me well so N/A. Not sure if this is goof Lanvin, but after slight tailoring I imagine this will find rotation in my den.

Shoes (none cleaned yet)

Was worried that after picking up tiny tim shoes I'd have to go to Nordstrom rack and grab some shoe trees for them.

But, double whammy on these. Popped my cherry on shell cordovans (black AE Macneils in need of cleaning and probably recraft soon) and shoe trees came with. Almost worth it for the trees alone.

Cleaned out someones Scottish Wool collection. Tentatively N/A as I have a thing for tweed and scottish wool.

Talbotts and BB are usually all I find

AppleMark

AppleMark

But.....

Fendi, Canali, Enrico Isaia (is this a thing?????), Hugo Boss, Armani

Isaia has a couple spots that are either very light spills or some frays. If this is not a thing I'm taking it to my dry cleaner as it is a very nice tie.

Turns out the 12 hour flight to Colorado is starting out nicely. Was able to convince the lady at the service desk to give me a cheap points upgrade. First time flying business class, wohoo!

On another note: I'd still be interested in meeting up if there's someone hanging out near Denver this week. I'll be at the hockey game on Friday, but travelling sans girlfriend, so all evenings free. First craft beer on me!

Yes but not well.  In business it helps to understand your client's culture just a little.  sometimes you might find yourself in a foreign bar, closing a deal, when the guy asks:  what do you know about my people?     - Deal made.

anyway, i am visualizing a worldwide thrift thread meet : in a club, in a random city. :nodding:

it would look like this. ....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP9_t_087fQ

Possibly. The GMMcL has launched a scientific investigation into the matter, charting his results on a spreadsheet as we speak. Nothing is conclusive, as far as I know, but I sure would like an update... lol8[1].gif

Is removing the stained lining an option? Anyone do this?

Self maybe
But given the volume that u can browse through it's not really worth the effort to replace for either self or not

I mean, pants don't need lining. Oxxford, for instance, doesn't line any of their pants. I have no trouble removing the lining of pants that are part of a nice suit for personal use.

I know a little about Kapital and have been trying to find some info. Apparently Redux is entirely made by hand and seems to use a lot of re-purposed materials. Anyone else have some info to share? Shoot me a PM.

WUT. KAPITAL AT A THRIFT IS INSANE. Incredible score.

ETA: I seem to recall someone pulling a pair of their jeans awhile back, which is awesome, but a piece of their apocalypse hobo gear is even better. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
