Can anyone who knows more able labels give me an idea of the Brioni label/age? I have seen a bunch of guys post ties with a little metal Brioni "chain" but have a feeling the two on the left are newer "age" and the one on the right is older???? Thanks

Anyone know what that writing means? There is no size tag and havnet measured it yet....

When did lacoste stop making stuff in France? Devanlay on care/content tag fat MOP, long sleeve.

Whaaat, this thing is sick. Also, side vented, if your into that sort of thing ;)

Chemise Lacoste is from the '80's. Chemise & Izod were the makers back then. Looks in really nice shape.

The characters are in Chinese. First character is "earth" or "soil". The second character is "field". It doesn't make a whole lot of sense but it's a clue. Maybe someone was using it to categorize his wardrobe?

Ha!, love the thrift fit -- though I wonder if going like that to the RL store is like wearing the T-shirt of the band you're going to see.

Brianpore, those Riccis, Brionis and Zegnas all look to be very recent. Rarely do I find Ricci ties in such palatable patterns. Nice haul.

Help me come to a deal with an ebay seller.
What is a fair price for this:
Neiman Marcus Overcoat Long Jacket Coat Suede Faux Fur Mens Size 38 L
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Neiman-Marc..._Outerwear&hash=item46027c1192#ht_1425wt_1037

Just my opinion but, not only is he not in the right ballpark, he's not even playing the same game. $1700 for a used, store brand (even if it is NM) FAUX fur, suede jacket isn't even reasonable as a starting point for negotiations. You can find real shearling jackets, of excellent quality (Sawyer, etc.) for well below $500. Now if the style of the jacket makes it a "got to have", then reason and value go right out the window, But, at least for me, that wouldn't be the case with this coat.

Check some of these.

Sorry, but this is very, very wrong.

Rene Lacoste started "La Chemise Lacoste" with Andre Gillier in 1933. Izod was licensed the name from 1952-1993 to produce for the American market. Devanlay now holds the license to manufacture most of the polo shirts for the world market, with some exception to the Thai and Chinese market.

That label is still around, and Lacoste still has some shirts made in France under the label we're used to seeing, and I have a silver label one that's made in Italy.

Yeah, I would try negotiating him down if he started at 1/10th as much, but I doubt the full retail price for that coat was even that much.

I went at the RL store in Chicago for the first time last weekend and it was pretty overwhelming when I got there 20 minutes to close. Got a sweet RRL jacket for $160 down from its original $450

+1. I bought some new Brioni ties recently with that exact same keeper. Nice finds.

My god! She is a classy woman. Will this event be televised or youtube-vized?

It will be radio-ized, and there'll be stills with the piece. I'll post it when we finish it up in a week or two.

I'm heading to the Rose Bowl tomorrow too... Haven't been in years, wonder how it'll be clothes/shoes wise, not to mention everything else. We shall see.

Need any photographs of the outing YoungAmerican? (my profession)

There's not a lot of MC there. Mostly stuff that Japanese vintage dealers are into - vintage military, outdoorsy stuff, denim, that kind of thing. I've gotten some good stuff there over the years, though.
