Not surprisingly, no one seemed to notice these when I posted them 3 or 4 posts after the "Spooganza" on Saturday. They aren't even creased from being tried on, are size 12 D and are available. Considering they have the exact same font and pattern of printing on the inside as my Tramezzas, I'm pretty sure they were made by Ferragamo. Construction looks to be on the Lavorazione Originale level.

Those are sweet, and if I had disposable income, I'd be all over them.

hey guys, I just got 4 click and ship packages I sent yesterday returned to me for insufficient postage. Something to do with the Zone. I know I can go back to PO and get additional postage and they will run new labels but can someone explain to me what I did wrong and how the USPS site could possibly print labels with insufficient postage (this was not a deal where I was using flat rate boxes and failed to use flat rate labels...these weren't FRBs)?
:brick:
Skip the snark please, I'm PO'd at the P.O. enough the way it is, ha, don't poke the bear!

Only thing I could see would be if you had the weight of the package wrong.

yeah i'm sure you're right. i read a book about 10 years ago that touched on the psychology of gambling. i thought it said something along the lines of what i said (that the heightened sting of lost gains makes gamblers more likely to keep gambling in order to "climb out of the hole"), but yeah, economics is not my field.

There are several academic journals dedicated to gambling psychology. Interesting reads, sometimes.

But even then, the price per weight categories are pretty relaxed.

What type of envelope/package did you use? I recently noticed that the flat rate legal envelopes are currently just labeled "Flat Rate Envelope." However, if you only paid for the regular flat rate envelope, you would be 15 cents short and the packages would be returned to you.

Did you specify an incorrect ship from zip code? The ship from zip code and return address don't have to match. I sometimes mess it up when I forget to change it, but haven't had an issue yet. Your scale may also be off?

Everything was right in the return addy.

WHat was wrong was this: It turns out I ordered these boxes, which bring with them a new flavor of rates I was unaware of before. I guess I had just been looking at dimensions and avoiding flat rate (because what I ship is very light, not clothes but other stuff I sell to feed this thrifting thing) when ordering the boxes from USPS.com.

Just want to say that...if you might have anything or find anything sweet that is 17-17.5-ish s2s, and around 19-20 p2p, or anything bottomwise that is 28/32, holla at me.
mostly looking for sportcoats
(....and jackets, shirts, blazers, jeans, and chinos

Hmm, not sure what the normal rates are, but box B seems to be a good value

:D I sent the Cheaneys. As long as he is ready chasing ambulances :D

Lol got you two confused. Either way though, the Florsheim's are still comfortable as all hell, and the Cheaney's just look like the secks. My next few trips will probably just be looking for stuff to repay you guys for helping me out rather than anything for myself as I just realized for once that I basically have everything I "need" (2-3 staple suits, six+ dress shoes, slacks, SCs, etc.) besides maybe an extra pair of navy blue slacks or something. Doubt that'll keep me out of the game for long, especially since none of you guys are my size so I'll likely end up picking things up for myself as well.

I think what you are talking about is future earnings potential loss. Practically you are out $1, but financially you are out $1,001 because you are not living up to the full economic efficiency of your asset and are accruing deadweight loss.

In terms of gambling, I've actually heard that a near loss (something like a fruit machine having a cherry/cherry/half-cherry-half something else) triggers the same brain nerve centers as a win. So you will get that rush of endorphins and want to keep gambling as if you're about to get lucky even though statistically you have the same odds at every turn/hand/throw.

Yes, eazye and I did pretty well and covered a lot of ground. Fourteen stores in two days, with E. right in the thick with the Schott, some tasty Brioni and an off-the-hook Mad Man-esque suit that dates back decades but looks brand new and fits perfectly--can't recall the label or even if it has one, but it's utterly dope. My own haul was less noteworthy--lots of BB that's rare where I live but thick in the big city, plus some gems from E's closet that had my name all over them. If I lived in E's hood, I would never, ever get anything done...

Yea, I don't get much done besides working, thrifting, cleaning the thrifted clothes and going to the post office, with a nice dinner for my wife thrown in there every couple days so she dosn't give me too much flack. On another note, both of our computers are down for the moment so I'll have to wait to post pictures of this weekends adventure. Which was a blast by the way. pnutpug is a super awesome guy and it's always nice to talk to someone in real life about clothes and not just on the interwebs. Oh yea, the Mad Men suit is a vintage 60's Campus with skinny pants and eveything, and its ******* PLAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
