Sorry wisecracks aside, here are my off the top of my head thoughts:

I believe that was designed for the Anti-Christ

Canadian Tuxedo for a very wealthy Canuck

Made by a dude who does a lot of BeDazzling

Big tear in the jacket caused someone to Frankenstein it

Decoy to capture someone to star in latest version of "Fashion Disasters"

Meeting a buddy for lunc, he's delayed so I stop at the Norwich goodwill (which I rarely frequent but have found a couple nice ties in before, a great Valentino and a slightly dmged lingwood), turns out to be an excellent quick trip

Also grabbed a made in Italy merino wool polo for myself from some brand I don't recognize.

I did say wisecracks aside and you give me two posts of them?

This is purely for flip. Plus, I got it from a place that takes returns.

What the other side of a Ferrari F430 looks like.

Looking good!!! Bummer I missed out.

Not mine, but super cheap and ending in 4 hours if you are a size 38-40 and need a duffle for winter. Size 3= Medium, if it was a size 2=small I'd be all over it.

Here is a bit of history pertaining to HOLUBAR for those interested.

Glad to see it was still there and it still has the removable snap-on hood!(!!) Nice score! If it fits you, definitely keep it - these things were built to last. Just don't lose that hood! Haha.

This: http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=1889187&ev=rb (Mine is in EX condition sans a sticker.)

And a bunch of other more or less obscure prog rock from Norway, Denmark and Iceland. I think I've easily hauled expensive records worth three grand from that sale. And to top it off, I've got a bunch of good quality stuff that's worth two or three times what I paid. Taking those to the record shop next week.

As for keeping: I haven't really decided. The Svanfridur album is great, but I'm not sure I dare listen to it, heh.
Here's one of the songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGqCq2-4ZYA
I'm sort of kicking myself for not finding this record before my friend did (but better him than anyone else):

That's mindblowing! You're not from the US, right? I can't even imagine finding one of those albums around here.

A couple vintage Woolrich items from a small town thrift:

Wool pants, 36 (anyone got any idea of the age on these?)

Talk about vintage synergy. I found that same cardigan (I think) several months ago. Mine isn't in near as good of shape as your's seems to be.

Those pants are an excellent find. I'd guess mid 50's due to the WPL # on the tag. Wool Product Labeling numbers were issued from the 40's to late 50's on wool products.

Ran across these today and for the life of me, I've not been able to figure out what the name of the maker is... Does this script mean anything to anyone else?  Caseaua?  Goseaua?

Full leather, including sole.  Hand made in Italy.  Appears to be ostrich on top?

Translates roughly to burn them with fire, by hand.

Stax- Sick tie, congrats.

Anyone else super stoked that we'll be getting our gift exchange names/info soon? I really enjoyed hunting for things last year knowing they were going to someone here on the thread.

Some vintage stuff from this morning (aside from the abomination posted above). happy.gif

Rodenstock Rocco frames, with a beautiful woodgrain / tortoise shell finish, from the 1960s.

Deadstock work shirt, late-1960s, no later than early-1970s. Great label!

I dropped by the place where I consign some items and the owner was telling me that she's dying for winter coats. She only takes newer high-end labels so when this Harry Rosen overcoat jumped off the rack at me this morning I was well pleased.

Hi guys, I don't find much high end stuff but I thrifted today for 3 hours.

I think I had a good day.

Allen Edmunds Nassau 10.5 C. Sharkskin I think. Normally I would wait to post until polishing but I wanted the feedback on the sharkskin.

Warning: Spoiler! alert (Click to show)

And these pants I post because they're weird.

Pal Zileri, size 32, but there isn't a tag of any kind in the pants and they seems to be made from a cotton/ synthetic blend. I can't believe there wasn't a material tag. They were only $4 so I got them but I have never seen any pals with such a fabric. However, the buttonhole on the closure looks hand sewn. Would appreciate verification or not. zero wear on these pants.

Also 2 Nordstroms HSM m2m suits and 8 BB dress shirts/ original polo shirts that one guy turned in. All in pristine condition. one guy donated about 20 and I picked the ones that were in the best shape. Plus the were doing a half price thing so only $2 each.

A few things..

First, big up to

For proxying me a PERFECT dachshund logo-d Harmont & Blaine fall plaid jacket. Its fits perfect and I am so SO thankful. You are the best.

Second, thanks to Gmmcl and Wes for an awesome time last night at dinner. We laughed, we ate, we talked thrifting while enjoying a few drinks and some good food.

Now, ordinarily, StyFo tradition dictates that when members meet up, you do a shoe circle... well, this was a thrift thread meet up after all, so we did it a little different...

Also, Wes was a pro in the Ferrari. Screaming down the Midtown Tunnel at 7000 rpms and 80 mph, he didnt even flinch. Though, when we crossed the 100mph mark at the tunnel exit, I did see a slight shudder. smile.gif

One more proactive THANK YOU to Wes for a trade that has not yet gone down but am excited to lock in later!

Picked up a few things this week even though I am on thrift timeout until I payoff the bill I racked up... First attempt with a mannequin so looks kind of jacked up.

Not sure why I keep doing this, picked up a pinstripe orphan just cause it was less than five dollars...
