But I thought I'd share a message I got from one of my customers. I've been under an incredible amount of stress lately and this really made my day:

"My father had a jacket from Willis & Geiger, which I believe he bought it in late 1930s, early 1940. It was dark brown. When I told him I was leaving the country (Cuba) because the new regime of Castro and coming to the US, he gave me the jacket. Two days before my departure, member of the Cuban government came to my house to reposes all my belongings except, 2 shirts, 2 pair of underwear 2 pair of socks and two slacks. Even when I claimed that I needed the jacket in winters in the US, they told me I could buy another, knowing that no one was allowed to take even $ 1.00 out of the country. Now having this jacket is in a way a memory to my father. By the way, I'm 75 years old. Thank you for giving me this possibility."

That is wonderful!  I had a similar message from a gentleman I sold an Oxxford suit to.

Hi David,

You certainly know your Men's Clothing! I am 69 years old and all too familiar with Oxxford. My father who was 91 years passed away 2 years ago and was Principle Tailor as well as Manager of the Tailor Shop for Neusteters, one of the finest Men's Clothing stores in Denver at that time (like Neiman-Marcus). Mostly the well known (Actor Lee Marvin, Singer/Actor Harry Belefonte) who were personally fitted with Oxxford Suits by Dad, shopped at Neusteters. Thank you very much for accepting the offer and if pictures say a 1,000 words, then this particular Oxxford speaks volumes for it's quality and obvious good looks. I want the cuffs and the Tailor that will do the job once worked with my Dad. I'm very excited to receive it.

Again, thank you so much,

...

Yeah, Tori Richard makes my favorite shirts... I'd wear them every day if I had enough and was making enough off Ebay sales to say "FU" to the man...

Almost didn't pick this up on a quick run this past Sunday.  Didn't recognize the label, but I thought - Italy, cashmere blend, probably can't go wrong.  Just checked the label/makers thread and I'm glad I went with my gut.
