1) Why?
2) What size?

3) Go get them.

I'm 6'2" and 180 pounds. I did some measurements: shoulders are 22", pit to pit doubled is 65.3!! Jacket length is 38.7!

Why don't you just bring it to the tailor? Maybe you can get two suits out if it.

Or maybe even three! The handwork on this thing is lovely.

Found this at lunch. Vintage 60's-ish Strawbridge and Clothier Shawl Lapel Smoking Jacket/Robe.

Looks like it has been worn a couple times, but the pockets are still sewn shut. Missing the original belt. Should be easy to replace.

Personally I think I would add one of those Chinese Knot Buttons instead.

Tagged Medium, Fits me (44) ok. Slightly snug. Ideally a 40-42 I'm thinking.

I want to get Brian or myself into that thing. We'd probably both fit.

One possibly hilarious picture of a (mostly) grown man who looks like he's wearing his dad's jacket?

I have a SA very close to my office and sometimes hit it up at lunch and on the way home (as I did today) just b/c they usually leave the racks of new stuff sitting for a while when they bring it out, and it's easy to take a quick look. The 2nd stop yielded the shoes.

AE's - Parkland, Randolph and Concord

Peal/BB by C&J(I believe) & AE Hillcrest

HF - Loro Piana Super 130s

BB 346 Patch Pocket

Gitman, Jeff Rose linen, John Varvatos, PRL madras

And even better than thrift prices....
