Am going to keep the belt, but cannot in good conscience give you a good rating on the way the belt was described.
Clearly, the most wear to a belt is where the tongue and buckle hold the belt together; this belt shows substantial wear on two belt holes.
Any comments before I publish my rating?
Thanks

My response:

Dear mousekin1010,

Sir, I told you that up that I would refund your money from the beginning . It has now been, what, three weeks, and you say you are going to keep the belt but still give me a negative rating? It's people like you that make it frustrating that sellers can no longer leave negative feedback. I know the belt had negligible wear and the color was absolutely shown correctly in the photos listed. I also know that there are some people out there with nothing better to do than to harass other people over the internet. Sir, get a life, and next time, stick to retail.

you should hit up the buy/sell/ebay thread with this kind of stuff.

with that said, this guy sounds like a jerk off

That Henry Poole for $15 USD .... MIND
I have never seen them use such modern touches as that contrast piping and such. Not that I'm an expert, I just Hope its not a Frankenstein where someone modified it, or just slapped the POOLE tag on something else. The closeups seem to suggest quality.

Ferragamo

Bally

Ferragamo, apparently owned by someone who didn't know that stores sell something called "shoe polish." They shined up nice enough with a Saphir regimen but the vamps are kind of beat. Hopefully I'll get enough wearings out of them to justify the $6.

AE Bridgeton. Decided they're just too snug for me. 10 C and available.

Now for the last week or two worth of finds...

Couple of Pendletons

Prana climbing pants (holla atcha Fueco). I don't climb anymore but these are comfy as hell, great for hiking or just bumming around.

Couple of BB shirts. Not super brag worthy but for the fact that I rarely run across my size of 15.5-34/35.

Zegna and Paul Smith

Finally a Brioni shirt in my size that's not trashed!

Santorelli Luxury Serge trou

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

TIES

Knits in staple colors from un-noteworthy makers.

Liberty of London (because I like it), J Crew (English silk), Hugo Boss

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

NWT Charles Tyrwhitt, Murray's Toggery Shop whale pattern (n/a), PRL cotton, wool blackwatch from the old Georgetown University Shop (n/a)

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

7x Dunhill

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

The third one from the left is houndstoothy silk/linen awesomeness, been looking for something like it for quite a while so that one is n/a.

SCs

Couple of Harris Tweeds in my size. Forgot to lock the camera exposure settings so the pics don't show it well, but the second one is significantly darker than the first. So in my mind, it's a totally justifiable use of closet space to keep both!

BB puppytooth SC with a blue overcheck

Closer shot of pattern (Click to show)

Marks & Spencer gun club check

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

SUITS

Mani

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

HF gray glen plaid with blue overcheck

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

J Press mid gray

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

J Press navy pinstripe

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

J Press glen plaid w/ red overcheck

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Southwick navy w/ light blue pinstripe, might not have to alter this one at all, n/a.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

And to cap it off, a Brioni that may have never been worn after being tailored. Tag still on pants, came with spare buttons and fabric swatches. Not sure what the specific name of this fabric is, but it has herringbone type rows of alternating twill, and is a mix of green, blue and light brown. Looks kind of greenish-gray from a distance. My first thrifted Brioni, ain't spoilerin'.

Good thrifts on everything shown above.  In particular the Brioni suit.  Just stunning.

Is this a must grab, or if I return for this, will it languish like my Chester Barrie?

I love my Belvest jacketss. They are fantastic, if it fits get it. If the arms are pretty long (26.25-26.5) it might not languish too long either :hide:

PointDexter2014, I've said this before but you don't seem to understand.  PLEASE use spoilers when you are quoting someone especially when they have a lot of pictures.  It gets annoying having to scroll through them again and again.

In other news, I just purchased a blackwatch PRL made in Italy jacket on eBay for $35. :bounce2:

Vintage Matsuzakaya is a thing of beauty, picked up the below beast from the same seller as the Henry Poole / Matsuzakaya for the equivelant of 12 USD. Buttons are hideous but check out the year on the tag...

Few more shots of labels on the Henry Poole..

Both fit delightfully well in the shoulder with sleeve length pretty ok, everything else the tailor can sort

Why I would way rather do business off eBay, even if the market and prices are smaller.
