I want to know who that Ae person is (was?). I've been stumbling on his stuff for the past couple of months and it's always amazing stuff. Some in better shape than others. I just saw a cashmere overcoat with those initials at the GW near Ridgedale today. It was marked up and the lining was torn near the armpit so I left it.

Boggi suit. I know it's meh, but it's got a split curtain waistband, working cuffs, 3 roll 2 and is a pretty cool shade of midnight blue. And it fits, so, worst case... Oh, it was also split up as orphans and I reunited them. So there's that.
PRL corduroy jacket. Will need help on the MFR tag. Don't think this is the USA stuff or the Corneliani stuff. Question is whether it was worth it at all.
But the gem of the day was a Turnbull & Asser by Chester Barrie cool tweed jacket, dual vent, hacking pockets with ticket pocket. It's awesome. Except for the 3 moth holes. But they are reweavable, so if you're a 40R and want a project jacket, get @ me.

And here they are.

You are correct. I guess I should have been more clear. If it's AE or some other "lower level" stuff I pass if the soles are trashed. Shell cordovan is always an exception. I have picked up Edward Greens that the soles were worn all the way through and have had good luck with them on the secondary market. Alden seem to always be worth the pick up unless they are just spent beyond repair.

If anyone has a slim-cut navy blazer in a 38-40R (think J. Crew Ludlow-type cut) that's available, let me know. A friend is looking for one.

Haha, AE is some sort of pricing code Goodwill uses in case someone rips the tag off. When it goes back to be repriced they'll know it wasn't at standard GW prices. You'll find it on everything from clothing to sporting goods to accessories. Anything that looks nice and they think is worth marking up.

They do this with shoes too. On the soles they will mark with silver marker 5b ($4.99 blue), 7y ($6.99 yellow), etc. I have yet to figure out what AE means exactly. There is another code too, but I forget what it was. I think it had a B in it.

Looking at my first belvest right here. Brown and pinstriped, working cuffs. Lapels might be wide, I dunno. 44-ish and my closet overfloweth already, and my forgotten debit card has decided for me. ffffuuuu.gif

Is this a must grab, or if I return for this, will it languish like my Chester Barrie?

Haha. Okay that makes sense. I've been thinking it was some rich dude who had an entire mansion filled with cool shit.

My favorite label!

One store at lunch and a quick stop on the way home yielded some pretty decent stuff.

BB Jacket, Suit, Jacket. Steve Smith specials AKA store returns. JK :stirpot:

Searched high and low for the pants and only was able to match the gray pinstripe. The custom tailored jacket only had "Jacket" on the return receipt and not suit as the other 2 did.

AE Boulevards

BB Wash & wear suit

FootJoy x3. One NWT. FJ jackets always flip well.

After a little digging, I don't think this Nike is as old as I thought, but still pretty cool. Feel free to chime in if you can date this stuff.

Some finds from the last week or so:

First, discount find,,,,95% wool, 5% silk 7 fold..bought for myself...@ 20% retail and not marked down yet but couldnt leave it.....not 100% if Im going to keep or not though...

Brioni 100% cashmere, think this may have been custom as tag size says 00- probably measures @40 s, but really short arms (22 or so),,,,,damn cause pretty much fits other wise but just a little short by an inch or two in the arms......

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Black/Gray Brioni, no pants but think its an orphan, same size, has small worn area near middle button though...

Zegna tagged 48C EU , measures @ 40S , probably from same donor as above but arms a little longer ....

Total FU 100% linen SC, by Mario Matteo, a few threads here indicate half way decent (sometimes sell on Yoox apparently), think it is NWOT as it has a plastic tag thread still on inside and all pockets

still sewn shut-working cuffs, single vent, serious pick stitching....

Skeeter...used to find @ 1 a week but this is the first in a couple of months...

Old Label Banana Republic safari type shirt jacket, tagged XS but probably fits an S or very slim M
