ok. Posting 2 things.

Burberry Women's Hooded Jacket, Size XS, $4.80

2nd is a Canali leather coat, size large. I'll probably keep this one for myself, and as such, paid $90, but it is in extremely good condition. sleeves are about an inch too long.

BTW, Photo's are taken with an overhead light I build to mimic Wes's set up.

one 4 lamp and one 2 lamp fixture for a total of 6 lamps. all bulbs are 6500K daylight.

I tried both a white background (these) and a neutral gray #8 background (Wes's system).

These are straight out of the camera, cropped and resized for posting.

will dink with white balance and aperture later tonight.

Had time for a 15 minute speed thrift before the gym yesterday.  F-B: Recent BB suit coat (will be watching for the pants), Cashmere sportcoat (Evan Piccone, but it should flip well in a few months), Ermenegildo Zegna (looks brand new, the maker tag in the pocket doesn't show the usual fading/wrinkling of a worn and dry-cleaned coat) and an older 3-2 Brooks Brothers corduroy.

Somehow the Macy's here ended up with a solid white RLBL short sleeve button-up. Buy at $35 or no?

Inspect the hell out of it - many a white RLBL has minor soiling if on a hanger...but if new in package then it's probably cool.  Made in Italy?  Not all RLBL is any more.  For you and fits?  If yes, then buy.  For flip?  If yes, and made in Italy, retail is usually $295 +/- but buyers on eBay are savvy and I've never sold a NWT RLBL for more than $99.

EDIT: just saw that it's short sleeve.  I'd pass, personally.  Sorry, assumed it was long sleeve / dress.

The thrift gods are capricious, especially on a long weekend. They play games with the hearts of men.

I went to do an exchange on an item and pulled some awesome NWT items to flip. But they're in my size and my style so I'm keeping. The paypal account won't grow but the wardrobe will.

NWT Gitman Bros. Vintage.

NWT GANT The Rugger cotton pants.

Two Made In Italy silk PSs with hand-rolled edges.

Just noticed that tiecrafters now accepts 1-3 ties for cleaning (as opposed to the 4 minimum I've always read)...but it's $16 per tie plus $9.50 return postage (plus whatever you spend to ship the tie to them)...and 4+ ties are now $12.75 each (up from $11 each).

Anyone here ever used them?  I've got a Brioni and a Hermes that need cleaning and not sure they are worth it.  Undoubtedly they are better than my corner dry cleaner, and from what I understand they deconstruct the tie before cleaning and pressing, then reconstruct it.

I used them on these two ties. Worked perfect on the Gucci but Chanel went from being darker green to a lighter yellowish color where the stain was. The Chanel also lost some thickness and the keeper was put back on with only a single thread.

Obviously worth the investment though. I never bragged about this sale, but some SF user told me it would be dumb to list these together.

I did grab one thing there - Dunhill Italy (older Zegna I think) SC with issues, for button harvesting (the ones with the little "d" logo - a set currently on eBay for $470 OBO [not that they would ever sell for anywhere near that much]).

How could a slew of Narcisco dresses--all NWT-- manage to get ink stains on them?

I think that green sticker is actually the one used for merchandise at the Barneys warehouse sale.

Anyone know this designer? Nothing on ebay and not much anywhere. Cool shirt that had been donated w/ a bunch of Theory shirts so I figured it was worth $4.
