I rarely shop retail but when I do this is the kind of deal I go for.
They're pale pink Ian Poulter branded golf pants in some sort of tech fabric. Perfect for summer.

I love that "real men" are afraid of pink.

Size 9M Bruno Magli tassel loafers in black. They're not in my size, so I'll prolly just flip them on Fleabay. They show a bit of wear, but I think if I clean them up, I can get $50 or so for them. If anyone here is interested, PM me up.

Managed to hit a few stores in the last day or two. Left behind some (dated) striped Brioni orphan jackets at $25. Felt good. Same shop had shirts by Jil,Dries, and I forget who else for $25 each as well. Dated and worn, nuts to them.

Then I hit up a GW and grabbed (not available unless you have... cookie dough? jk)

(Sorta pricey for thrift prices, but they're NIB, bite me).

Last stop netted me this black single button peak lapel (guessing it's an orphan)

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Hidden working cuffs, at first I thought the jacket was unfinished.

O Hai!

The sleeves seem really long (they're even with the body) but I figured it might be worth the grab anyway.

In the field and came across 2 orphan jackets.  The label shows Savile Row.  I know there's a crappy Savile Row line but this seems pretty high quality.  It is fully canvassed with hand stitching everywhere in a heavy wool.

Is anybody familiar with this line?

Yow - Nice deal!

My favorite pants all summer have been in a salmon pink sort of color - a bit bolder but I guess that makes me even less of a real man.

I remember last Xmas-ish when Target had all those co-branded designer items...and I desperately wanted to find something worth buying...but there wasn't anything.

Double forward pleats. Polo uses these frequently.

Yeah I know. I bake maybe 1-2x a year, figured why not nerd out and have ties and shades. Plus they appear to be decent stainless/silicone cutters, should last a while.

Hey, gents, pardon my absence yet again. I might as well explain why I probably won't be able to post much:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I'll try to keep it short.

A couple months ago, I went by my grandmother's house and found her looking like she was on her deathbed. (She's already almost completely blind from a botched, double cataract surgery, and can barely walk, but was able to take care of herself pretty well up until this point.) So I nursed her back to health with my cooking skills, and have been spending pretty much every day with her since then, making sure she eats well and takes care of herself. I take her thrifting with me, but since she's old, I can't go out for 12 hour days like I used to.

On a more positive note, I've started taking consignments and that's kept me even busier.

Needless to say, this doesn't leave me much time to post, but I'll try to stay more active.

Anyway, on to the good stuff. Here are some of my favorites from the past couple weeks:

First up, I dedicate this find to Frenchy:

Curtis Jeré signed MCM wall art (not my pic - thing is so big I haven't had the chance to photograph it)

Circa 1850s French made carving set. Box is real wood, leather covered, quality brass closure, real silk lining. Real MOP handles. Old Sheffield plate silver plating--this is the silver plate you're looking for, as they only made it for about 100 years before electro-plate was invented. Unfortunately, half of the fork has been replated. Regardless, I love it and I'll be keeping it.

When I first saw this, I thought I'd found another Kiton. Upon closer inspection, it's a La Vera Sartoria Napoletana--literally, "Real Neapolitan Tailoring". The company was started about a decade ago by Kiton's former master tailor Orazio Luciano, so I'll brag about my eye for details in this post, too.
