PSA

I don't usually shop at JAB, but when I do...

There seems to be a plethora of bargains lately. They just finished a buy-one-get-two sale, I got a few nice wooden suit hangers for $5 apiece and some tie hangers to help deal with my completely out of hand tie situation. That sale ended yesterday but, wouldn't you know it, another one has started, with a two-thirds discount on the same stuff--for the math impaired, it's the same price as before, you just don't have to buy more than one to get the discount. One of the biggest bargains is cedar shoe trees at $8.75--the only lower price I can recall was from STP a few years back when they were just shy of $8. The ones I've gotten in the past from JAB are Woodlore with a JAB label attached--in short, perfectly fine trees. I have all the trees I need now, but now would seem the time to stock up for anyone in need.

AE Sanfords 10.5 EEE available at my cost ($26) + shipping. Great condition, minus some small scuffs on the toe

Twofold Versace question: real or fake (hoping fake as I need designer knockoff for my scavenger hunt) and if real, worth copping at $15/pair? Two pairs of pants in a 31, both poly blends, Jeans Couture with fancy medusa head snaps on the rear pockets, and Jacket Couture beige slacks. Sorry for the shitty phone pics.

Since Hermes authenticity comes up here often I thought to post an observation that I had:

These are all thrift finds of course

Look closely at the front legs of the horse on the first tag.

700

(I don't know why its coming out sideways)

See one front leg on the horse, no split.

Here is two more pics of this tie before I go on to the others.

It feels just like the others and looks authentic.

400

400

Now the rest have a split between the front legs:

If anyone can shed any light on this difference I would love to hear it!

Regarding the Thrift Scavenger hunt

it just occurred to me that somewhere in the USA there are at least two dozen or so fully grown men who have a picture of me in their wallets at this very moment.and my father said I would never amount to anything sigh.

I got up bright and early this morning to follow in silverwarebandits wake at the new thrift store opening. Sooooooooo much stuff, I could have easely dropped a few hundo, but my judgement got the best of me and I only grabbed a few things. Teaser, yes this is a full suit!!!!

PSA: Red (at least red Thomas Pink) shirts are NOT color safe in Oxy. This appears to be the trending theme, that red and Oxy don't mix well.

Let us take a moment to recognize the 4 brave souls that gave their lives for science today.
Charles Tyrwhitt, slim fit, white, spread collar, double button cuff
Charles Tyrwhitt, slim fit, white, spread collar, double button cuff (yes, they were identical twins)
Thomas Pink, red/white bengal stripe Keaton style, french cuff

My group knows me well, and we all had a huge laugh -- right before I spontaneously burst into flames from the heat, and had to change (incidentally, into another set of thrifted madras trou that the Cap sent my way and a Dunhill polo that Dig sent my way).

Many of the rest of the club regulars, however, seemed rather less amused.

Dude, I was going to say, there's no way you wore that thing the whole day. I wore mine in the end of October and even that was a little bit unbearable. Got pics of the other fit? And screw the club members! The whole point of the look In my opinion.
