On vacation in FL, near Destin, rained all day so had an excuse to hit some thrifts. Goodwill has a half off day here, that's nice, but not much to pick up even at half off. I'm not used to this, but I think half the store was flippers, same thing happened when I hit San Antonio recently. Struck up a conversation with one, then the guy ahead of me in line pays with his Pay Pal CC. So you can see why there was nothing left. Rarely run into flippers in my home town and the ones I do are usually selling to Second Looks. First place I went to was a Catholic Mission thrift house, and thank you sweet baby Jesus, they had just gotten a donation from the local BB Outlet. The outlet did a good job mangling most of the tags, but I picked up a few things.
Linen pants, unhemmed, a few pairs, various (mostly bigger) waist sizes and a matching Linen 43L sport coat, all with (varying degrees of sharpied out) tags
also a pair of cotton Clark fit chinos, and a pair or wool dress pants. all the same Khaki color, guess they decided it's not going to sell here. I don't have a BB outlet near me, so if this rain keeps up I'll probably hit it.
This 32x32 Patch Madras:
Found my first Southwick/Paul Stewart - was an orphan, decided to let it go. Same for a Daniel Cremiux Loro Piana coat that could've passed as a SC, but wasn't my size so passed.
I was excited about the BB stuff though, I think they were still sorting through it, because all the stuff I got was on it's own separate rack. Will probably go back tomorrow.
