Woman: Do you drink beer?
Man: Yes
Woman:How many beers a day?
Man: Usually about 3
Woman: How much do you pay per beer?
Man: $5.00 which includes a tip.
(This is where it gets scary)
Woman: And how long have you been drinking?
Man: About 20 years, I suppose
Woman: So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 .correct?
Man: Correct
Woman: If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past
20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?
Man: Correct
Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?
Man: Do you drink beer?
Woman: No
Man: Where's your Ferrari?

Hey all, just a brag. Scored another LBSC with thrift funds, NWT. Any thoughts on who is the maker on this one, Caraceni?

That was my gut reaction, but google/styleforum points to GRILUX S.p.A being associated with them and not the manuf. Could be totally off though....puzzled.gif

I recently saw an E-bay auction for a Barbera coat. The seller claimed that Attolini was the manufacturer as evidenced by an internal tag marked 'Grilux SpA', which was stated to be Attolini's distributor. My Barbera suit has this tag as well but I have no idea whether or not the seller is correct as to the manufacturer.

Grilux Spa is another name for/is owned by/is in close association with Barbera (I don't know the exact relationship) and you'll find it printed on almost all Barbera labels going backat least 15 years. It has nothing to do with the maker

It should be noted that all this is fairly irrelevant in terms of the actual quality of the coats and suits. The Barbera Sartoriale line has always been of the highest quality (imo the Partenopea jackets are probably the lowest quality in the history of the label which is saying something, as they are very very nice.) My opinion - Barbera is underrated in terms of construction quality, and their styling and fabric selection is the best in the industry. It would be a mistake to think of a Barbera garment as being only as good as the shop that tailored it. It is much more. Probably the only major reason to differentiate between the makers is that the cut has varied somewhat, as is to be expected.

I also did a quick Google on Grilux when I saw the tag but it seems like it's owned by LB or the other way around, wouldn't be the manufacturer I don't believe.

For the record these retail from anywhere between ~220-300+. I don't expect the SF crowd to be big into the faux gator, but those were selling the best on Ebay so I snagged a lot of them. TBH as a gator afficianado  these are some of the best looking faux gator i've seen, which makes sense because MD does work with real gator on occassion. For the price you'll be hard pressed to find better summer shoes. These are all current season, and while most are 1sts there are some 2nds in the mix. If you inquire about your size and style i'll let you know if its a 2nd. The 2nd's have all been identified by the factory with stickers/arrows pointing out the flaw, the majority of the time, even with the help, im not really sure whats wrong with them, most others have a loose stitch, or some mark on the inner portion of the shoe (who cares?).

EDIT: Ill fux wid some trades if you've got cool shit in my sizes (check sig)
