Picked up two Samuelsohn suits off eBay for $45 each. Best part is they may not even need any altering!

That jacket.  It taunts me.  If you two ever have a falling out, let me know.

I have been slowly formulating a plan after reading hundreds of pages in this thread - that perhaps I, too, (a new thrifter and clothes hound) can find clothes in my size, and keep them --- and pay for them selling my finds in other sizes. I talked to the wife about it, and she thought my new hobby sounded right up my alley.

My first find was today. I bought it at TJ Maxx on clearance (was there for socks and underwear, and stumbled on this) - $79

The "problem" is that they fit me... not sure what I would do with soft black denim, or even if I want to wear something like that.

You shouldn't keep a piece if you're lukewarm about it.  You'll run out of room fast and spend more money than you anticipated.  You'll find plenty of great things you love.  Accumulate slowly and splurge when you find something you really love.

I had just a few minutes today and rushed in to a local spot to check out their usually decent shoes and ties. Found these guys. Didn't bother to try them on because I didn't have time and they looked like they might fit. And if they didn't I figured someone here would like to fix them up. Great looking Church's.

The soles need work and the toes need some TLC. But the insides are perfect, buttery soft.

Not sure if you can tell from the photos but their burgundy.

Labeled 8E but they run small in my experience, probably closer to a 9D in AE sizing.

So since they are just a bit small on me I don't really want to bother trying to fix them up. Someone has got to be good with restoring shoes and wants to try. Get at me if you want them, got them for dirt cheap.

Thrift fit that I promise was selected BEFORE I saw Bandit's very similar fit.

Huge shout out to GMMcl who sent me a 6 fold to deconstruct!

I managed to create a pattern from it and made this from thrifted cloth.

Self tipped, lined six fold.
