Keep an eye on them. No one is going to buy them at that price, so they could end up a bargain. That's what often happens with overpriced stuff, depending on how the shop operates--they go to 50 percent off (still too high in this case) and then even lower. Around here, everything is priced at a central location, then distributed to stores, where the staff doesn't have authority to change prices. So gouging can actually work in your favor.

Some recent finds:

Big boy stuff and some thrift synergy. Oxxford herringbone FF pants. 40x30. These are medium weight wool.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
handsewn buttonholes!
Canali FF pants. 42x32.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Could be my 1st t thrift grenadine. Unknown brand, though. Also, I think it is wider than 3.5”.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

BB Penny shell loafers. 11d. These may be aldens, but not sure. Will look good cleaned up.

Evisu selvedge. I think one of you dudes thrifted these exact same jeans recently. These have no crease marks at all so (fark it!) I'm gonna call these NWOT. Synergy!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Trafalgar belt. Tagged 42. If no one is interested in it, I will shorten it to my waist size. That scrape can be covered up when you fasten the belt.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

S. Ricci button up tie.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

R talbott BOC, R Talbot BOC NWT and E Zegna tiez. I think the spoomeister thrifted the same zegna tie in the past week or so. Synergy!

Yes, Alden indeed. Looks like they have a Horween stamp inside too. If so, you will want to be posting a pic of that.....HERE

Been pretty dry here for anything since I got back into things in the last week. Not much to brag about.

Heading out through Des Moines, Lawrence and Wichita this weekend on a rock band playing some out of town shows trip. Gonna keep an eye out for middle America's best hidden thrift stores.

Madre lives in Des Moines and I can honestly say that there is no hidden Gem in Iowa. Unless you are looking for Kohls brands smile.gif

Whoah, these oxfords from Gustin look like a great deal:

Also +1 on Naked & Famous, especially if you're looking for more adventurous jeans in a variety of cuts. My brown canvas pair and the white waxy ones get a ton of wear, and look better as they age.

Yeah I kind of gathered that last time I was there last year but I hold out some hope.

I'd figure there's some killer vintage workwear to be found in small midwestern towns. I think in these areas, it's the opposite of looking for high-end clothing. Big cities won't hold much, the small towns are what you're looking for. People who've lived in the same house for a few generations and still have grandpa's old jeans folded away in the closet.

Yesterday's haul, from a half day on the town with 1OfTheCoolKids:

PRL Suede Kilties Size 10.5D

Anyone know the maker? I can't make out the lettering inside, but it might say made in Italy.

1OTCK tells me Sissy Boy 57 is a fancy brand. Definitely Euro sized, because this XL fits like a small L. Short arms, but alterable.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

NWT PRL trousers, and old PRL trousers. Which would YOU prefer?
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Etro Polo

Not the first Armani tie I've seen, but the first I've kopped, + another Atkinson for my collection. (Thrift synergy w hansderhund?)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

PRL orphan jacket that I don't need, but it'd make someone such a lovely blazer with some dark MOP buttons ...
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Mabro Suit. A first. Trying to decide if I can part with it. Maybe I'll do a fit pic and you guys can help me decide. I'm just a sucker for the MOP buttons.icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Oh, did someone say Naked and Famous?
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Or was it APC?

That's what I always hope for whenever I'm at my parents in Wisconsin. Haven't been super lucky yet.

Nice Jean finds. Definitely give him a waist measurement on those. APC are notoriously a size-down-two brand.
