Z Zegna is Made in Italy from nice clothes, yet it is not liked much around here. Is it worth picking up to wear (i.e. not flipping) ?

Z Zegna stuff is typically not made in Italy... that being said, I would buy it from you if it were in my size...

With all the talk about reproofing that Beaufort, if any of you needs something reproofed you should try:  http://www.greenmountainreproofing.com/

$33 for most jackets and I've used them before.  I was very pleased because they also do repairs (they call with a quote and ask if you want them done).  Good luck!

it'll be $48 to re-proof the jacket + $10 shipping
this is a border jacket, its cheaper than the beaufort

I've actually bought a jar of the reproofing wax and was wanting to give it a try. So part of my interest in 951's jacket was to try it before I try it on mine.

Actually the Border is about $40 more than the Beaufort. It's essentially the same jacket, but 5" longer.

This whole Barbour incident reminds of Top Gear's feud with the Morris Marina Owners Club

Saw some Simon Miller jeans today... for $250..
.

Makes me glad I grabbed that pair of NWOT Simon Millers for $8 a month or so back. Never heard the name, just went off intuition.

951Socal has been a part of two of the most mind-boggling SF situations in recent memory.

First, trying to sell a Charvet shirt without providing any information on its size. Now, this. Not criticizing. More power to you, good sir. It's tough a world, buying and selling second hand clothes while in the balmy embrace of a bath salt addiction.

first, 951socal is a good dude, and i mean that 100%, no sarcasm. :nodding:

second, don't forget the awesomeness that was the zegna gun-cleaning cloths.

Since we're on the subject of Beauforts, does anyone have a preference of Belstaff vs. Barbour? I have a Bedale (thanks Ocooney) that I love but I've got a chance to buy a NWT Roadmaster for a really good price. I was thinking of getting the Belstaff and either selling the Barbour or giving it to my girlfriend, but money is pretty tight and I couldn't wear it for another four months. Thoughts?

Don't listen to anyone. These people are the same people that want measurements on their Charvet shirts before they buy (as if sellers could measure shirts like Martin Greenfield)! What do they know?

:eh:

What's all this about a Charvet incident, now?
