The only thing that makes something unwearable is if you, the wearer, won't/can't wear it. Something in that shade, with a conservative suit-like cut will probably look like a suit jacket even when paired with odd trousers. But whether that actually matters to you is your call. I have a mid-grey Zegna jacket that is clearly an orphan, but which I pair with brown trousers, jeans and chinos all the time, and I think it looks just fine.

Somewhat related to what I wrote above... I've seen no evidence of that although it could be true, but even still... you ain't in Europe, boyo. Could you really walk down the street in a jacket that 60/40 is made for women?

Found this blazer this weekend along with another sport coat and ties.  I will post photos of the other items later.  The blazer fits perfect.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. Is this Barney's New York jacket valuable to anyone? It's greyish brown. Wool, I believe (no fabric tag), made in USA, size L - which is too big for me. I'm having 2nd thoughts, but y'all let me know if it's a good find.

Been a crap end to a crap thrift day (three stores, and the only thing I bought: gas), so I e-thrifted Jack Taylor, an Irish mini-series starring the Game of Thrones dude who is very accomplished at standing next to half-naked women and saying, Khaleesi! in various shades of incredulity. Jack Taylor. Recommended.

The traditionalist viewpoint is, if you want to go out in public looking like that, it is your business. No offense. I don't understand Japanese goth wear, either. On a somewhat related note, I was stopped while in Goodwill today by a gentleman who had those ear disk thingies, big-ass ones, that had his lobes stretched to elephant proportions. His significant other had green hair.

"Where did you get that bow tie?" he asked.

"Uh, not sure, to be honest," I told him. "Might want to try eBay."

"Cool," he said. "I really like bow ties. I''ve been looking for one."

And so the Republican nose ring has met its match.

Ha, pnut, but the joke was on you, 'cause those ear disc thingies are way, WAY more timeless than MC wear (like hundreds of years stretching in either direction more timeless).

Those are slim fit??? Holy crap son you have legs as skinny as Ian. Looks good, I would be ecstatic if my sons dressed that nice. Instead they wear athletic shorts or sweat pants...

Ahhh sorry, 22 years in the military left my legs thick so slim/skinny terms don't pass my lips when talking about jeans biggrin.gif. I didn't realize there was a difference.

Hey gents, pardon my absence. In the past two weeks I've:

-Traveled out of town for a week long party disguised as a wedding
-Had family over from Germany
-Met up with the newlyweds in Key Largo after their honeymoon in Costa Rica to continue the other party

Needless to say, haven't had much time to post or thrift. Everything here is from two days' work. smile.gif

Sweet Brioni. Offered to pay for square that was in the pocket, but they refused. Turns out it is also a Brioni.

So on my way back from the Keys today, I decide to hit a couple thrifts. First one is in one of the worst areas I've ever thrifted(and I've thrifted many, many bad areas). I give every store a shot, and the following are all from that store - in the top 5 best of my single store hauls.

Paul Stuart - recent.

(Yes, I scoured the store for the pants, but no luck. Scoured surrounding stores as well. Still super stoked to have found it regardless.)
