Oh I had to resell that Kiton suit jacket I purchased from you last month (on ebay), sleeves couldn't lengthen to where i needed it. I M A BAD MAN. The Alan Flusser is my closet, waiting for the right moment to wear it.

i don't have a problem with what you're doing.

what i do have a problem with is some of the reselling practices in here :censored:

when i was new here i asked someone to proxy a shirt that sold for $6.99, he quoted me $70 + shipping and argued that since the shirt retailed for $300, he spent gas and time getting it that i was getting a fair deal....

I just want to clear something here. I contacted Adrofan about two of the J.Press SCs he posted. Here was his reply:

Sorry, but I'm entirely unwilling to sell any items to you, even if they may be in your size range.  Several other forum members I've spoken to have identified you as a known re-flipper: you buy items very cheaply from other generous forum members, and then resell them on ebay for significantly more.  I refuse to support that kind of behavior, so I won't be selling you anything.  Thanks for understanding.

I understand your point. Yes I sell on ebay and at one point everything I own will end up on ebay wether I purchase it from thrift stores, ebay, Marshalls, Outlet stores and yes SF. Having said that, I have an entirely different wardrobe than i did last year at this time and stuff are constantly moving. The other members can also confirm that I only purchase my size (42R,16.5, 11.5B), I just pass on 46n2 Isaia shirt because it's not my size. I made two deals on SF that ended on ebay within two weeks because they did not fit me. First, was a Kiton shirt, wore it twice but the neck was to tight, so I had to sold it. second was Canali shoes purchased from 42n6, same situation, actually I tried to wear it everyday while it was up on ebay to see if it would relax a bit, but had no luck. So there you have it, I only inquire & purchase my size on here. Will they end up on ebay? Eventually sometime in the future, as with everything clothing and accessories I own. That's the honest truth.

Now is that sooooooooooo bad?

I'm a newbie here, but I'd hazard a guess that the problem being identified is reselling on ebay rather than doing a catch and release back to the forum at the same sort of price you got it for... why should someone else sacrifice their profit making it available to you? now if you take the profit you made and send it back to the original seller I'm sure they'd be more than happy...

]... if your looking to get a good dollar amount but still a good deal for all 60-75% of the ebay price is "fair" imo. 50% would be a good deal and 75% off ebay is a styleforum member special. "cost + shipping" is more of a trade when I find something for you, etc.

Worth requoting. At the same time anybody is free to sell or not to anybody for any price. I owe a bunch of people here and they have priority. Period. I have been quoted prices higher than I am willing to pay and I thanked the seller.
Nobody ever asked 70 bucks for a shirt, though!

I thought I was being fair by keeping this as a private conversation, but hey, what the hell since you've decided to make it all so public: Be honest: do you have more than one ebay account? A purchasing one, and a selling one? Again, all of these things are within your right to do, but I'm equally within my right to not to sell to you if I get the impression that you're just looking to resell. I have sold more items to forum members than I can remember. Probably a solid quarter of those items were sold at cost, with no profit to me. (any fans feel free to chime in :)). My point is, that when I sell items to forum members, it's usually going to be for a very good price. And if I'm going to do that, I'm going to make sure that it only goes to people it should. You are one of the very few people I've heard things like this about. It may very well be an unfairly earned reputation, but I make no apologies for acting on whatever limited information I may have.

One and only one account since 2008, Childofstyle85, for both buying and selling. I haven't done many deals on here, so I am not so sure where this info is coming from. I may have to repeat myself, Kiton shirt was to tight around neck and I tried to make a 10.5-11 canali shoes work for 11.5, well it did for the first 30mins of wearing it (only women are allowed to use this statement "Those shoes are killing me"). Everything else is still in my closet. You have the right to sell or not sell to anybody, but I have to explain myself on this accusations. By the way, I would love to know who told you because I only purchase stuff from three members on this forum.

You got to like the drama on this board. Let me contribute:
1. I do not appreciate private conversations being posted without both parties consent.
2. I have done many forward deals with Andro, i.e. send or receive something without getting anything back (in lieu for a future find). Always worked out to both parties satisfaction. Great guy.

The fact that he decided to publish your private conversation like that confirms you made a good decision, AndroFan.

Not to get too on topic, but I found my first Rubinacci item, a staple blue shirt in my size. Does anyone know about the "Blue Label" line? I can't find anything online about it.

Alright man, well I'm sorry that I was wrong about that. Like I said, I give great deals, and it really pisses me off that some people may not respect that, so I tend to be really cautious about who I sell to. That may require making incorrect guesses, which is unfortunate when it happens. But instead of being butthurt and making a big public spectacle about it, you could have left it at your reply, which I would have probably believed since I'm a pretty reasonable dude.

Posting private conversations is being a drama queen and it's not cool at all. Now I hope no one on this site ever sells anything to you again.
