Some more finds from my dry spell. First, a pair of shoes I picked up since I posted my earlier shoe finds:
Casa Costanza brown wholecuts (sadly available, size EU 40.5, but probably fit a US 8 D/E with a very high instep).
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I was hoping I could make these work with insoles, but the instep is too high for me. Has anyone ever heard of the brand? I looked them up, but only found women's shoes. They appear to be on the level of Ferragamo mainline (very nice leather, blake-constructed, made in Italy).
I also passed on a pair of vintage shell French Shriner tassel loafers yesterday. They would have been my first pair of shell finds, but the size was pretty wonky (10 A), and they didn't fit me, so I didn't want to take a chance. They had moderate wear, and weren't in perfect condition, but far from beat (the soles looked original). Definitely vintage, though, the label still read "French Shriner & Urner."Warning: Spoiler!
