I avoid dealing with Russian buyers, had a bad experience with an Iphone.

Just checked my 90 day stats....

Non payment = 12 out of 254...not too bad I guess. Less than 5%
Strangely 6 of them occured in one week. I was a hateful SOB that week.

Crazy ass Gucci shirt, anyone know how old this is?

Gucci suit

size 42, unavailable at the moment. Best $6 I've ever spent. Spoo, I would appreciate your knowledge here. Any idea when this is from and what its retail value would have been?

I hate to quote myself, but I'd really like to get some details on these two Gucci items. Any idea when these are from, and are either from Tom Ford era?

And Spoo, are either of these the types of things you could get an outrageous selling price out of, or are they pretty common Gucci items?

So, only 1 non-paying bidder out of 36, that's pretty good, correct? Although I had to threaten 6 people with non-paying bidder complaints.

A couple of things that you can do;

  • Set your Unpaid Item Assistant to 4 days. This is the minimum time that you can set.

  • Set your buyer requirements on your auction to;

Buyer requirements
Use Buyer Requirements to block certain buyers from bidding on or purchasing your items.

Block buyers who:
  • Don't have a PayPal account
  • Have received 2 Unpaid item Strike(s) within 12 month(s)
  • Have a primary shipping address in countries that I don't ship to
  • Have 4 Policy violation report(s) within 6 month(s)
  • Have a feedback score equal to or lower than -1

This should help screen your bidders to remove problem before they happen.

Since I instituted those two controls, I have less that 1% non-payments. Sold and shipped 404 items in the past 90 days with 3 nonpayments.

PSA: The local SA has maybe 10-12 Staple Suits....nothing spectacular, just your everyday average B&T brands....in the size range of US 54L-62L. Any big and talls out there looking for a deal? Will proxy. Otherwise they will be on the rack forever and the new donations won't be rotated in.

Any thrifters in the Richmond VA area, I just swung by a place that had a number of nice shirts (bespoke? MTM?) from Leviner Wood (custom tailor here in town). Too large for me (no size tags but I'd guess 16/34 or so) and since I'm not a flipper I passed. PM if you want location.

Flipping through the racks today, I came across this fella:

Anyone have any idea about vintage? It's a short 40 R.

I didn't pick it up because it had a tiny snag on the back of the jacket, a tiny, tiny hole near the cuff of the pants (below) and very, very yellow pants lining. All said, it was in pretty damn good shape. I was going to go back on half-price Thursday, but if I need to return right now, I can get back there pretty easily this afternoon. I just didn't know if this was too old to be worth it and how much of a hassle the pants-lining cleanup would be.
