Grendel, you're right. I use it more for actual cleaning than conditioning. Andro, Obenauf's will condition as well but it's a wax and will be perfect for beeswax. It's actually really cool stuff that firefighters use to condition/protect their leather goods in harsh conditions.

Buy here: http://www.amazon.com/Obenaufs-LP-Boot-Preservative/dp/B0002X520S

Use: Clean shoes with some water just like normal shoes & let dry completely. Apply wax (I actually just use my fingers), if wax is too dry, you can hold a hair dryer over the container for a few seconds to get the wax useable. Wipe away excess and let dry for a few hours before applying another coat as needed. Let shoes dry thoroughly outside away from the sun for a few days before use.

I have to disagree. Saddle soap is a harsh cleaner and I wouldn't use it on any shoes or boots unless they had nasty grease or tar on them. Obenauf's is great stuff though.

Went to the salvo nearby and grabbed a few cool things. First was a sick north sails belt that fits. Also a linen shirt by burberry. Not sure if its real though... Can anyone help me on this?

My wife and I were sitting around talking when I mentioned two pairs of Italian-made POLO by Ralph Lauren women's loafers in 7 1/2 B that I found earlier this week which were then promptly removed from my possession and conscripted for possible use with "cute summer outfits."

^^^ I haven't conditioned or polished them up for her yet, but you get the idea.

Do any of you guys get raided by your wives or girlfriends (or both

Hopefully enough time has lapsed since Xenos' post so that I may post my finds from last week:

Ties:

Turnbull & Asser x2, Vintage Gucci, Hilditch & Key, Oxxford

Plus this unmarked thick 7-fold - any ideas on the maker?

Pants & Ways to Keep Them Up:

Luciano Barbera Charcoal Flannels (36x34, pleated and cuffed)

Brooks Brothers Belt (34) and 2 Suspenders - Pelican (white) Trafalgar (playing cards - no idea if these are limited edition, should it say that somewhere on them?)

Jackets:

Awesome Olive POW Zegna 15MilMil15 (tagged 58EU)

Brown Brioni for Neiman Marcus (48)

Better picture of the color:

Shirts:

Canali (16), Canali (16), Zegna French Cuff (17), Turnbull & Asser FC (17), Boss Baldessarini POW (16.5), Wilkes Bashford Flannel, Brioni Solid White FC (16.5)

The arms on the Canalis are a bit short (maybe 23?)

Suits:

Vintage Burberry Charcoal Pinstripe Flannel (46)

Vintage Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece Light Gray Pinstripe Flannel (46)

Only keeping the T&A navy with red dots tie and the WB flannel - everything else is up for grabs!

Recently:

:slayer: Xenos never disappoints.

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys do for lunch / dinner when thrifting for most the day?

Make own and keep in car?

Or

Eat out?

I'll sometimes treat myself to a nice lunch or dinner if I strike out at several places. A consolation prize.

Do any of you guys get raided by your wives or girlfriends (or both :uhoh: )?

I really enjoy finding things my wife will like. I've found quite a few pairs of shoes for her (Ferragamos, Bean Boots, AE penny loafers, made in USA white bucks), sometimes in small men's sizes. All scarves I find go to her, including the recent Hermes.

Picked up a Norman Hilton suit tagged 44T. Single-vented and quarter-lined. Pants are flat-front and uncuffed!! Available since it doesn't fit me for **** :|
