jstu picked up this little work or travel bag / briefcase for $2 at my neighbor's garage sale.  In good condition, vintage Samsonite.  Looks like vinyl and not leather but still nice.

Thank you! cheers.gif That was driving me nuts.

It looked like either a goose or a sting ray to me. I assumed it was up to interpretation but clearly it's a goose now.

Makes a nice paper weight.

My first grenadine is also my first Drake's. Thanks Marshall's for popping two cherry's at once. fing02[1].gif

Anybody want to school me on the weave? I know there are differences within the grenadine family, I just haven't memorized them yet.

@Acosbysweater, you are definitely not the resident poor person, but look at it this way. Most people will spend $50 for a pair of shit shoes from the H&M or whatever. Even though they are used, I would still much rather spend that on a pair of Church's, especially if they were my size. If not, to put towards a pair that is.

If you spend 50 to make 100, that's a 200% profit. Not bad. Especially for him picking up 3 pairs of nwot shoes.

Get a credit card and buy the items with it. list the items as soon as u get home. Get paid after a week auction and you have the money to pay the credit card off plus your profits.

Kerry: We all play the hand we're dealt. Am I happy living in an area where cost of living is so high that I have to work 3 jobs AND THEN have to flip clothing just to (sometimes) have enough disposable income to afford clothing at thrifts? Of course not; that's a crazy question.

BACK TO BRAGGING, PLEASE

I don't know that I included this in the brag from last night. Not available.

This is what I've taken to doing. I have a card with a $500 limit to keep me motivated in quickly listing items. Maxed it out once and forbade myself from hitting the thrifts until I cleared it out again.

I hit one store and came up with a pair of pleated, chocolate colored Zanellas. It was raining pretty hard after I left and I debated stopping at this shop I hit maybe once a month. They never have men's shoes. I've never found a blazer or suit there, only trousers, maybe a couple of shirts, but they are dirt cheap. Today they had 7 pairs of flippable shoes. 5 Allen Edmonds, 1 Ferragamo and 1 brand new pair from a brand called Mezlan (glued crap, but retail is over $200). They only charged me $8 per pair since I was buying so many. No true staple styles (those AE on top right are the best of the bunch), but definitely a nice score for resale.

Found this exact tie before, only it was a different chick inside. That's the "Dog House" Pattern. Golf, poker and drinking will end you up in the Dog House.
