Yessir, I remember those! They were issued to execs on the sales side prior to the merger/acquisition of Smith Barney and before we sold the "umbrella" back to Travelors and sold Smith Barney to Morgan Stanley.

Hermes ties Citibank version is from 1998 then.

Dead Man's Chest?
Wow. I did not know that!

Androfan beat me to it. Supreme Court upheld the Stolen Valor Act earlier this year. It's been controversial because it can limit legitimate collectors as opposed to poseurs. Even some veteran groups have weighed in, questioning whether a vet in need of cash, or his heirs, should be barred from selling medals to someone who will take care of them. Real world, I don't think anyone has been prosecuted who wasn't using medals to lie about themselves.

That's incorrect. The Supreme Court has not ruled on the case yet (US v. Alvarez, docket: http://www.supremecourt.gov/Search.aspx?FileName=/docketfiles/11-210.htm), and the provision under review doesn't have anything to do with selling medals - only with lying about them. The provision against selling medals has already been upheld as constitutional, long ago.

Had a pretty good night even though my usual favorite spot yielded nothing and I only had half an hour... Someone dropped off a lot of Italian stuff, some good, some just okay that I'd never heard of. I first noticed when I ran into a couple of Boggi Milano ties (firsts for me) that I left because they were ugly and don't flip well.

First, does anyone have any info on these two tags? Had some nice pick stitching but otherwise didn't seem overly special, but made in Italy

Does anyone know this tag? The cloth is by Ermengildo Zegna but there's no maker's tag other than the content tag

That one and this one both fit like very slim 40R's... Which is to say, a bit too slim for me. I like both so I'm gonna see what my tailor can do. If not they'll be available.

This one's a very nice Pal Zileri Lab, very dark navy with a striped texture

Weird that I found this after I just found this other Pal Zileri on Monday (just got around to taking pictures)... 44-46L and available. Also, anyone know about this fabric tag?

Found some Italian ties to go with these... Need a Spoo Signal for this one. Real?

Also a Valentino

And an Altea... Darker than it looks here. thought these sold better when I picked it up, so I might return it

Here's the tartan tie I found the other day. Very good condition Forbes tartan

Another first for me, a Ben Silver shirt... REALLY nice with MOP buttons. 17.5 x 35 and available

and since I took pictures, here's the HF Tux jacket I found the other day
