Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Turnbull & Asser (my first)
Zegna
Scottish wool, which apparently isn't worth jack based on my post-kop perusal of ebay. Oh well, I like it.

"Ebay value" or not, during cold months I get a ton of use out of the wool tartan ties that I find in thrift stores. They can be quite nice.

Just picked up two belts by James Reid - buffalo and alligator. Both my size. Checked the ebay listings and now I have a dilemma - keep or sell?

Keep if you like them and would wear them.

My first thrifting foray today, I took my wife to a savers 30 miles away. We spent roughly 1 1/2 hours there and I came away with 1 pair of Allen Edmonds, 6 shirts and 1 Harris Tweed and 3 ties. I think I should have done some more research before buying anything facepalm.gif. So below is what I purchased and the prices, please let me know where I went off the tracks and if I should have purchased any of this.

Harris Tweed think it is about a 42R since it fits me just a little tight and I am a 44R - $7.99 no flaws except a tear in the arm hole lining my wife will fix:

Allen Edmond Biscayne loafers 11 1/2 AAA $9.99

3 Ties J. Garcia, Givenchy Monsieur, Ermengildo Zegna don't think the Givenchy is worth anything, but the name rang a bell and I bought it. Prices: $2.50, $1.50, $1.50

Noticed a little fraying on the Zenga censored.gif

Banana Republic long sleeved dress shirt XL 17-171/2 $7.99

Canali Sportswear long sleeve shirt XXL $5.99

Brooks Brothers french blue french cuff  171/2-35 $7.99

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Saddlebred Madras-OCDB (Is that possible to be both?) XXL not sure why I got this, I guess it was pretty (won't fit me though) $7.99

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Hawes & Curtis 42 - 16 1/2/36    This looked interesting, felt like good cloth (not that I am an expert) anyone know this company and if they are any good? $7.99

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Lastly a RLPB this one is my size and fills a niche for me so I am keeping it (16 1/2/34/35) $7.99

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

My wife found 10 yards of nice material for $7.98 and a skirt that she likes and we had a great time shopping together. My wife did all of the inspecting biggrin.gif I would bring her the shirts and jackets and she would look for defects (she missed the fraying in the zenga tie have to dock her for that).

I almost bought a Zenga suit until she told me there was a stain on the pant seat (I couldn't see it). Then we turned it over and some patchiness around the shoulder looked bad. But if it was clean, I should have paid $29.99 for it correct???

Seat stain (can you see it???) (Click to show)

I will, I really dont even know where to start with this. Im so overwhelmed, and that does not happen often. Its epic. Not so much brands- theres plenty of BBGF, Isaia, Paul Stuart, Southwick etc. but the unique tweeds, 40's and 50's bespoke stuff, Brooks Brothers custom from '53 (!!) 1941 tux jacket... I mean, Im floored. I will get pics eventually.

Mrs. Spoo tipped me off to the haul, I would have missed it totally, shes defo a keeper smile.gif
