Should've just put JUMBO on the size instead of a 68.

Yeah, it was solid gray and definitely wouldn't pass as a SC. It's tough leaving an orphan that nice in my size, but I appreciate the reality check.

Anyone able to read this? What do the characters read?

It's thrift related for me at least smile.gif

Something Nataku would appreciate.

ALL THE MORE REASON TO GO HUUUUGE, DUDES!

Personally, I've been saving all my Dior ties specifically for this. Why 70K? Because NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!

Yea, that definitely seems to be a thing with that brand. I've left more behind with frayed collars and cuffs than I care to remember.

Matt, your finds and fits have been killing it recently.

Also, that Tombolini is pure fire.

Something better will definitely come up.

What about you guys?

Probably a tie between the peak lapel s/b red label Isaia silk/wool blend blazer I picked up a year or two back and the NWOT Hartford Denim Co. indigo duck jeans I picked up this past summer. Leaning towards the jeans as I've gotten the most wear out of them and are likely my favorite piece of clothing. Killer details on that one.

Awesome! Can't read the characters, but I love that pattern. It is the classic duck-hunter/Beo Gam camo pattern from the late 60's and used commercially until the late 80's. Originated from the "Frog skin" camo used in the Pacific during WWII. Probably my favorite pattern.

I've been out and finding stuff. Nothing mind-blowing or worth posting though. We close on our house tomorrow so I've been pretty caught up in that. Should be back to normal in a couple weeks once we're all moved in and settled. smile.gif

Yeah..It's one of my favorite finds so far. I think it may be earlier tho...pretty sure it's local made as well.

Slim pickins the last month but found a few nice things. All my size so n/a.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

T.M. Lewin, first one of these I've seen, pretty decent.

BB Country Club. Haven't seen much bragging about these here, but this is a pretty damn nice shirt. The fabric is Egyptian cotton woven in Italy and feels substantial. Real MOP buttons, and the button-down collar makes a dandy roll. Just FYI for anyone coming across these, sizing seems generous. It's tagged M/R but fits like a Large.

RL short sleeve madras with real MOP buttons.

Gitman Bros long sleeve madras.

J Crew, I guess this qualifies as a "shirt jacket." Beefy corduroy with a layer of poly fill inside the lining. Probably donated because someone was too lazy to sew up a little 1" rip in the lining, but I fixed it up and methinks it will get a fair bit of use in the fall.

I would like to thank the gentleman who had these trousers tailored to fit me before he donated them, as well as the employees at GW who kept them all in a pretty little row next to each other on the same rack. I would also like to thank the GW manager for announcing an impromptu special that evening: any three pairs of pants for $10. I had to pay regular price for the fourth but they averaged out to $4 each.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Various BB lines. The 346 are flannel, pleated & cuffed, and the other three are worsted, flat front, no cuff.

Is this the Burberry I'm looking for? (Click to show)

Little better pic of the pattern.

Significance of the L Strauss? Looks like there may have been another label stitched below that too. No real informative tags inside the pockets, just the ACTWU tag that puts it at pre-1996.

ScottW....that's the old Burberry's. If you like the pattern and it fits, still a good sport coat.
