The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Page 4647

Sorta thrift fit from the other day, going to a local fashion show. Full mirror shot cropped, hence the shitty odd size.

Plokhov blazer - eBay

H&M T - FULL RETAIL BETCHES, could probably use a longer one though

Nameless Italian pants - thrifted, then tailored for (hopeful) stackability

Blundstone boots - Boxing Day sale a couple of years ago... not the greatest, but they'll do until something better comes along I guess.

Been a while since I've bought anything in-store, but today some ties:

BB Makers, BB Makers (NWT), Altea, Tyrwhitt, Talbott BoC

"Thrift" as in being thrifty and paying pennies on the dollar - this resale/discount shop does use security tags on everything priced over ten dollars...which now seems pointless as no bells rang or sirens blared after the employee forgot to remove the security tag and I walked out unmolested.

Solid! That Marinella may be a good candidate for this:

Wes I got dibs if that is going up for sale. Corneliani for what ever reason fits me like it was bespoke. I could have an entire closet of Corneliani and be happy. In fact, most of my suits/SCs are Corneliani now that I think about it.

Great haul though.

Forgot to thank you for IDing those for me. I had a hunch they were Church's but I was only about 50/50. I left them and went back a few min later to get them after I saw your post.

thx, goal is to get it all listed by 1am tonight, but I think that's a little too ambitious. It will probably be tomorrow afternoon.

Never thought of that, thanks for the idea. The tie was warped, it looked melted. I have a feeling that will be the last one I see in a thrift store for a long time :/

Decent little haul today for the morning.

First RG and the least crazy pattern I've seen. Size M. It has a tonal woven floral pattern throughout and metal-backed MOP's (each is marked with the name as well).

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Best part: MOP cuff links still attached! I haven't decided if I'm going to flip or just jack all the MOPs

More Polo madras (33, available) and a pair of LL Bean "critter" shorts with sail boats (not available).

King Street brogue wingtips, 9 and in great condition (available).

Cole Haan driving mocs, black leather, 8 and almost completely unused (mmmaybe available, undecided)

My first...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Versace, 16.5/42 with tux collar. Not sure if it's really a tuxedo shirt since it doesn't have the bib front. It does have a nice woven check pattern throughout and french cuffs.

and ended up buying this one also..... how do you rock a brown suit? It was too awesome to pass up.

Thanks again Spoo! Little to big though?? confused.gif

honestly everything looks like it fits(except the sleeves of course) if you really wanted you could nip the waist a bit but the shoulder and boc measurements look spot on

Does anyone know about Replay & Sons? Found a leather coat today, but can't find anything out about them online other than at their website the current leather coats sell for $995,

Thanks...waist on everything would 100% need to be taken in. Prob about 1-1.5" on the Isaia's and 1.5-2" on the last one.

Somebody at MKE goodwills knows this name.
Brianpore: The last jacket is definitely too big all around, not just at the waist. The Isaias look great, though, and I'm sure will look even better after the waist is adjusted.

Perhaps it's just the photos, but the first Isaia looks a little fuller than I think would be ideal for you in the chest and sleeves. I'm guessing there's some extra cloth bunching behind the arm pits too?

Gutted that I had to leave behind a recent Oxxford suit today.  The jacket was stone cold mint, but the trousers had a serious amount of shredding on the ass.  I guess I could've bought it for someone to take the seat in, but I was just so shocked and appalled that someone could do that to trousers within a few years of wear.  I guess this explains why we see so many orphans out there....

Good news is that I picked up a few sick things including a new turntable and burr grinder.  Photos of these and other recent finds to come.
