The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Page 4645

Damn. I go away for a lousy 11 months and fall 33,928 posts behind ffffuuuu.gif. A couple of good days yielded.....
Prada Glen Plaid by Belvest, Zegna Blue Windowpane, Caruso Gray Windowpane, Versace by Zegna Dinner Jacket, and a Zegna Couture XXX blue plaid.
BTW has anyone posted pics of their thrift "stockroom"? Or am I the only one who has one shog[1].gif? Until I recently started organizing my loot I had no idea how much I had accumulated. Well, at least I horde nice things.

...just make sure it's not the ink-filled kind, and 10 seconds with 2 pairs of pliers will do the trick.

You sure that was a thrift?

Hit my honey hole today. Found four things. Pics coming in a few minutes.

So much heartbreak today, Rouge Gallery selvedge chinos in a 29. ffffuuuu.gif James Peirce in a fuck ugly black cord shirt, APC cords not in my size and an APC bomber jacket that was just a little too short. But the worst was a beautiful J Press pinstripe, single breasted, peak lapel flannel jacket, dated dated 1954, with no trousers to be found. ffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gif The thing had soooooo much handwork, what a shame. cloud.gif Also a recent PRL fly fishing jacket with fireman jacket type metal hooks down the front, not in my size and too expensive to flip. Oh well, I did manage to pick up some spring ties just in the nick of time. Madras x 2 and a PRL seersucker. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Edit: I'm not sure why my photo is sideways, sorry.

If at thrift prices, I certainly hope you grabbed these regardless. Did the APC bomber happen to be an L-XL? biggrin.gif

Yes, it's called a split waistband. Incotex makes a lot of pants for Zegna and they normally have a split waistband.

Not at thrift prices I'm afraid, the chinos were $47 and the APC was $50. This was one of those buy and sell places. confused.gif The APC was a small and made in China. ffffuuuu.gif

Looks good from here, but maybe someone else will also confirm.

And if no one ends up being interested in the zanellas would I be able to take them in to a 33 waist?
I did just pick up the sweet Timberland, made in the USA, suede and leather, rucksack/tote type thing. Quality and craftsmanship are pretty outstanding. Its a shame to think they use to make their stuff with such high standards and how shoddy their product is nowadays.

I'm not sure. How well do they fit otherwise? I wear a W30 or W31, but I'd never be able to wear W33s. They're normally too big everywhere that I'd essentially have to have the pants recut. However, I'm not sure if there's as big of a difference proportionally between 33s and 35s. Basically, that's about the threshold of not being worth it/they'll look weird. If it were me, I'd keep an eye out on ebay for a pair that fits and then sell those.

I would also bet that someone here has a pair sitting around they'd be willing to throw your way.
