+1  I'm a 7 1/8, and by jove I wish I could pull that thing off, but no way. Especially with my complexion, I would look like a pimp, fo' sho'.

Nice! I am a big Minolta fan, I use an MD-7 and an XG-1, golden-era manual-focus stuff.  Always thought about going to the autofocus range to trying using old glass for the Sona alpha series, but meh.  Cool pickup.

These are men's right?

Rag & Bone pants. Tagged 30. Lots of cool derails. Riri zippers, metal buttons, not sure what the term is but there are flaps to tie the waist with. Available.

Yeah the wool cargos, I left them behind. I could probably go back and look for them but I won't be back in that area until next week. I could pick them up for somebody, but they weren't my size and a bit pricey.

Dress down thrift fit:

Sperry suede shortwings, clearanced from DSW. Lightweight, unlined (1st unlined shoes!). You guys need to add unlined shoes to your rotation. Buttery soft all around. Swapped the laces for some "fashion" purple laces.

Pants: L Barbera. Look like cords but they are not. via a trade from concealed, no alternations needed on that trade nod[1].gif

Upper torso, not pictured. Not doing those xtended arm shots facepalm.gif

Sold a pair of these on the bay in like 5 min for a cool $100, and they were scratched to shit.

PSA for anyone in central NJ: Greene St. in Princeton has three H. Freeman & Sons suits, fully canvassed, likely MTM so no size tags but seemed to be about a 40R, handsewn lapel buttonholes, I think they were about $70 each. One gray pinstripe, one glen plaid, and one windowpane I think. They also had 2 Sulka ties but they were still pretty pricey, about $50. The yellow one had a stain on the back. Great deals on the suits though!

Could it be that wives are buying for husbands?

Speaking of other weird retail encounters, I was cutting through Holt Renfrew (ultra high-end Canadian department store chain) and I came across a K-Way "pop up" store (at least that's what the sign claimed it was). It was really a vertical display cabinet of K-Way products. Now, when I was young, K-Ways were de rigueur for the elementary school and camping crowds. Fold 'em up in a pouch and clip it around your waist, or wear 'em in the rain (wear it in the sun and you have your own wearable sauna suit). happy.gif

Very strange to seem them back. They were about $85 a crack. Has anyone found/sold any?

This might cause me to lose some credibility here, but I have to admit I thrifted and kept some Robert Graham. They're a real nice pair of khaki pants; other than the bright pink inner waistband, you'd never know they were RG's.

here's on pic of the new RG stuff:

I'm not gonna lie, I seriously thought about buying a blue velvet, single breasted, peak lapel, dual vented, surgeon Mop cuffed RG blazer the other day. It was something like $700 marked down to $89. It was pretty baller. shog[1].gif

These pics turned out way worse than I wanted, but I thought this was a rather cool find:

AppleMark

Vintage, midnight blue tux from...

1950!  I did a little research and it looks like this was the tailoring house that made all of Ronald Reagan's clothing.

A few more pics if interested... (Click to show)

Insane details and handiwork on this thing, super heavy too.

Jacket seems to be about a 40, although the shoulders are rather heavily structured.

Anyone have a case or other lenses?  I'm interested.

These 80's Porsche Design aviators are my favorite sunglasses style next to the classic Ray Ban Wayfarers.

Found a few things worth mentioning today.

Bowers & Wilkins

Carver

An RRL cap - NWOT

My wife had the best find today retail-wise. She got this short dress thing for $3. Kicker: she didn't even know the label. She grabbed it because she thought it was cute and might fit her.

A few pickups from this week. As always, terrible photos. Are they compressed significantly when they're uploaded? Am I an idiot? They look absolutely terrible.

Though I've never found Dior jeans, I think these are real. Can anyone confirm that? I'd love to learn how to read the serial numbers to come up with the date!

I mentioned this jacket a couple of months ago. It's velvet and either midnight blue or black (haven't decided yet). Great buttons, only tag shows it was made in W Germany. Really cool, but it was €35 until it finally went on clearance.

Various ties. Nothing too exciting as far as brands go.

Magnanni. Original price on the bottom, but they were on sale as well.
