I hadn't noticed that until I saw the picture. Next time I wear that jacket, I'll take a look as I had always thought the shoulders fit. Either I wasn't paying attention or the photo was a bit off due to my arms. Possibly both.

They're ivory, but I do have white pants I wear in the summer devil.gif

Thanks! Those trousers fit me well and it's silly that I only wear them 3-4 times per year confused.gif

Los_Face: Sorry if this ended up being more than you bargained for. Looking back, your post seems to have been pics only, without requesting feedback. And I think the Hans Der Hund Rule of 2013 states that feedback (other than complements) shall be provided where specifically requested (e.g., "What do you guys think of the fit?"), to avoid deterring the fun/bragging spirit in which the thrift fit was originally intended.

And maybe this reopens the question whether there should be a separate thrift fit thread to comment on fits (a la the new Thrift Fit Formalwear thread). Then again, there are more than enough threads on SF proper that focus on honing fit and soliciting feedback, so not sure what the "thrift" aspect would add.

I mostly throw them up there for the fun of it, but I always welcome critique. It's the best way to get unbiased opinions on what should be changed or corrected. I'm sure plenty of people don't care to get feedback on their looks, but I assume everyone knows that they open themselves up to criticism/comments when they upload photos. All in all, I'm sure most of us are just trying to have fun and enjoy them hobby!

Hmm just had a nice thrift at a local GW. It was looking pretty bad but then I spotted these shoes, Zintala Loafers, no sizing but they fit me perfect.   From my limited googling these are Lattanzi :)   not bad for $5.00   Haven't had a chance to clean them up yet though.

Oh got a nice staple Banana Republic Charcoal Suit in a 38R for the bay too.

Found a nice bike jersey today that begs a couple of questions... First, how do you search for this online? Second, would this be ironic listing?

I found a couple odd balls while out and about today:

Lanvin Dress Shirt with (I think?) Pearl buttons? They feel cold to the touch and gritty to the teeth. I am not sure how else to test, it's just so weird. Made in Italy tagged sz 42. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Florsheim Imperial Dress Boots 9D:

Everything is available, if you so fancy!

Dude you put them in your mouth?  shog[1].gif   For a true test of how good a shirt is you need to lick the collar, the saltier the better.

Yea, I thought so as well. Also, I am doing some googling, and it looks like they are glass swarovski buttons

If they are pearls, take them to the jewlers and convert them to earings. Nice gift to your mom...

I just couldn't pull the trigger on these pants today, even though it's 20% off for seniors.

Flat front and they fit like a 31 or 32 (sized 46 euro) but the legs were far too 'relaxed' for my tastes. Inseam was probably around 32 as well. Made in Peru? If someone wants them, I can go back tomorrow (full price, sorry) and get them unless everyone yells at me for leaving them behind and wants me to consign with them. happy.gif

ALSO...

I found a pair of Ralph Lauren Polo Country mocs for SWMBO that were only slightly down at the heels, which I usually leave behind. No pics since she grabbed them and put them on before I could even shoot some Lysol up inside them.

Here's a photo of the label I snagged off the web.

Is 'Polo Country' good stuff?

Interested to hear thoughts on this.

EDIT:  I'm less interested in thoughts on quality and construction (we all can guess that they'll probably be subpar), and more interested in what people think about the measurement method.

Dude, if you think this at all elevates your risk of exposure to something, next time you use a restroom - any restroom- google the phrase "fecal veneer".

Ian, you ass. I got some good looks in the doctor's office waiting room earlier when I busted up after reading that.

white common projects achilles (the ones I bought for a steal were grey ffffuuuu.gif)

black cafe racer leather jacket

flax/silk herringbone summer weight  "tweed style" blazer
