Here's a pic of two of the Campagnas.  Looks like the polka dot isn't a 7 fold... but this other one is.

And since this is also a discount bragging thread, these came in the mail yesterday from STF. Retail is around $600 but they were 80% off and should work as my go to trouser for the summer, slim fitting and high waisted without the dreaded "long crotch". TONS of handwork on these but the best part is that they were paid for completely with ebay monies. biggrin.gif

edit: any suggestions on how to wear wingtip loafers without looking like a douche? Or are these straight up fails.

Hey everyone, been lurking the thread for a while and I decided to finally join StyleForum and the thrift thread community. I am still in high school with plenty to learn from you guys. Started thrifting in November and some of my own thrifting highlights include a grey wool knit Etro tie and a pair of Carroll and Co. opera pumps.

Anyways, I found a tailcoat today and was unsure of getting it or not (did not get it). It has matching pants, peak lapel, and surgeon cuffs. However, I looked inside the jacket and was unfamiliar with the brand; its called Steitzer and nothing came up on Google. Was hoping any one of you guys would please be able to provide more information on it:

Whoa! That's some serious money! Are the others 7 fold as well? Either way, that polka dot is still a beautiful self tipped. But that 7 fold... drool.gif You did very excellent, Dan! Keep up those amazing finds! That haul is WAY better than some of the California hauls... No offense to California thrifters happy.gif

To all the gents whom I promised to look for stuff your sizes and send out packages, I'm going out. Will be back within 2 hours to stuff the packages. I'll be staying up late so I can send them out tomorrow.

one more thing I forgot to list from this week's haul:

I was going through suits and ties at a Savers I used to go to 2 times a week until I left to go back to college, and a girl that works there recognized me and gave me her number, which was nice, so we'll see how that goes.

PICS OR GTFO.

Went back to pick up some shirts for the people that hit me up. Sadly most of them were gone, but managed to cop another Taylor Stitch, Gucci, Wolf vs Goat, Billy Reid shirts.

Decided to roam around and also copped a Billy Reid jacket and DSquared jacket. Saw a J+ windbreaker if anyone wants.

Pics later. Too lazy.

Is there a date on it? I would pick it up if its old. You might want to get it even if its not that old just because it is cool and rare.

Spoilered because it's like 50 pictures but totally worth checking out so click it! (Click to show)

First up, J. Press Pressidential Donegal tweed.

Any love for J Peterman?  Bought because it looked pretty cool - it's 100% cotton and made in Portugal.

So.  Many.  Ties.

These are not brag worthy, but were in the bag with everything else.  Move along to the better stuff.

BB x2 Made in England, and a J Press Made in Italy.

NWT Breuer

Brioni x3

NWT Vineyard Vines x3

Duchamp... NWT.  Wasn't something like this posted just a few days ago, and sold for a ridiculous amount?  Here's hoping I can copy that feat.

HERMES X4

HERMES X4 MORE

Gianni Campagna x2.  Is the one on the left a grenadine?  (never seen one in person.)  Silk, Made in England.

Gianni Campagna x3.  I believe these three are all silk, made in Italy.

Gianni Campagna x3.  Cashmere, wool, cotton left to right.

So endeth the ties... on to the pants.

Howzabout some Loro Piana?

Deja vu...

Here's some more of that Gianni Campagna...

I don't think you can make it out in the photo, but these are Brioni Sport.

So are these.

My first ever Kiton!!!!!!

And this totally, totally sick pair of gray trousers...

...that are 100% cashmere, made in Italy, Incotex.  I think the retail on these is close to $2k.

So, yeah.  Other than the coat, vest, two BB and J Press ties, all of that came in three big bags from the same location.  Not pictured: some Patagonia shorts, North Face shorts, and a few other odds and ends that were part of the lot.

Not bad for the (non-Chicago) midwest.  I almost felt like one of the California guys...

Dan, that's awesome! It was a lot of fun scrolling through all of those pictures!

This one is in okay shape, but has a dark stain on the bottom, is missing the shoulder strap and a bit of stitching. I grabbed it because I liked the color. I'll keep an eye out for something similar in better shape!
