If you haven't read this piece in GQ about Buzz Bussinger, I would recommend it. It's not about Thrifting, but the levels of opulence (mostly Gucci) and addiction are absolutely crazy. http://m.gq.com/news-politics/newsmakers/201304/buzz-bissinger-shopaholic-gucci-addiction

I love cool hangers. That might be my next focus since I can't fit anymore shirts in the closet!

I had to travel for work yesterday and got down to one of the spots I rarely get to anymore. I found an Ermenegildo Zegna Alta Sartoria flannel shirt (41/16) that wasn't my color or size with significant RATC (but sweet MOP's) so I left it and went over to peruse the tie rack.

Suddenly...

Best color representation photo.

Lots of fiddling with saturation, warmth, etc to get the colors close to real life.

Probably coffee stain that didn't photograph well but I can see it IRL. Should I take it to a dry cleaner?

I noticed that the wagon wheels on the two logos appear to have different numbers of spokes and the horsy has different tack gear and is missing a leg on the back blade so it may not be real. I didn't care...I kopped.

That is the norm. Looks real to me.

That is SO cool. Congrats!

But if the lock is pickable then, YIKES!

Is Trask good? I passed on a pair at Savers the other day.

Ya think so? I have no idea as I'm generally clueless on these label ID things. All know is that I saw the keeper label (without the name) and knew instantly what I was allegedly looking at. I was surprisingly calm. bounce2.giflol8[1].gif

Took me at least an hour to get it open....not a pro lock picker, and only one side was locked.

I've had good luck with Trask. Decent US brand. The bison leather is always surprisingly supple.

My first Hermes purchase was completely by accident. I only grabbed it because I wanted to know why the Amish were making ties. I had no idea what I had until I got home that night and saw the small blade. lol. What a noob!

Ah gotcha, I was just curious!

Add me to the list of those who don't quite follow your discussion. Are you saying that he would be worthy of "curiosity" had he been married to a man? (Maybe only the Supreme Court could make sense of your line of inquiry.)

Awesome find! I have found two of those types of hangers in the past and I love them... Always try to cop more when I see them!

Looks awful. Unusual is the appropriate word here. Those are just horrible. Looks like chocolate (or shit) was melted into pant form...

I checked the tag....you were right.

Hahahahaha. :D

 A Zegna DB

A chocolate corduroy Brooks Brothers jacket.

Both are in awesome condition. Available. I wear a 44R and these are smaller than that. Someone asked for the sizes. The Zegna was supposed to be a 54R (EUR) but it must've been tailored and now it's a 41 or 42 Short (American). I can take measurements for either jacket. The BB is labeled as a 42R (I think) but it was also tailored. The tailor ticket was in the pocket from 2010.

The measurements on the BB jacket are:

sleeve (outside measurement) 25"

(underarm) pit to pit 21"

shoulders 17"

back collar to hem 30 3/4"

Are you certain about the 17" shoulders? Seems awfully small compared to the p2p number.

Mad shady and deserving of public shaming, if true.

So since you have time to thrift, do you think you could find time to return the thousands of dollars worth of my items that you haven't listed after over half a year?

And for the record guys, I'm not trying to start a shitstorm.  I've been trying to get this stuff back for months and months.  This is my last resort.

Maybe I didn't measure the pit to pit right. Is there supposed to be a seam under the arms that you measure? I think I got the shoulder seam to shoulder seam measurement right.
