Anybody 8.5 A/C in Alden? Good value to be had at AAAC like now, almost thrift price. Brian, they might fit you with an insert.

I stop reading the thread for a week (and couldn't even go cold turkey, just limited to 10 mins /day) and there's 700 posts. That's just insane.

Regarding noob initiations, sometimes reading the whole thread doesn't quite work. For example, I know I read somewhere (I think it was a DM7 post) about what Zegna trousers with 'xxxxx' on the waistband denote. But I can't find it again via search. Anyone help me out with these?

I believe the 'xxxxx' on Zegna pants indicates that they are made by Incotex.

^^^ It looks too small... the sleeves look too short... he should just send it to me and be done with it...

(Jealousy is an ugly thing, but that is an AWESOME jacket!)

Can faintly recognize the word "Borrelli".  Can anyone ID the maker?  Looks to have been resoled.

Pretty sure Sutor Mantellassi.

and... paging SpooPoker :)

Defer to Jedi Nataku below, please.

^^ Pretty sure that tie is the real deal. Pretty recent too (2005-2007 I think Spoo said). Found one like it last week, but you've hit gold with all those Medusa heads. Mine is pretty much worthless with a basic decorative fern type print so it's ended up in the tie collection.

I believe the 'xxxxx' on Zegna pants indicates that they are made by Incotex.

no - on that pair of pants they're almost certainly Incos because of the blue band at the back. Most of Zegna's pants are made by Incotex, actually, in a variety of factories (depending on the line / age) and you need to look at things like the tag placement / tag style / belt loop in front presence / etc. as well, because sometimes the locker loop on the back is taken off if the waistband is altered, etc. - that's also a commonish problem with Oxxford pants.

The ***** thing is generally more recent - look at Zegna's more recent ties, the "selvedge style tipped" ones - **** ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA in there. Same thing with a pair of super-recent cords I have - ***** ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA ****** repeating all the way around the inside of the waistband. I've seen similar styling on other products too, on the bay and on their site. There was a shirt and I think MAYBE a scarf that someone posted that had an obnoxious "selvedge stripe" on the OUTSIDE of the shirt, I think.

Note that this is more an accessories and sportswear sort of styling/design/tag - the most recent tailored stuff has the all black label wtih white pick stitching around the edges (and that is, I believe, still what's in stores that carry the mainline).

Anyway, I've hit several stores today/yesterday and came up with only this:

APC New Cure H jeans, size 28. Brand new never worn, original fold marks still in them, the APC pin still on them, the black loop for the pricetag is still on them...... and no paper tags. NWT or NWOT, I don't know, I don't care, someone out there is tiny and would like these ^^;

Interestingly enough, I saw my first Robert Graham in quite awhile at the same time - a pair of JEANS. Unfortunately the owner had a 32 length and should have bought a 30 length, because he trashed the ends of the legs. :brick:

Anyway, the APC's are available if anyone's actually that small... lol

Also, I have this J. Crew shirt available, most recent needle-and-thread logo, size Small (14-14.5 tag) - but the pit to pit measures like 20.5-21 inches so it's too big for everyone's favorite small dude :D Anyone interested (cost+ship) before I redonate it? Resell if you like, I don't care. :)

No pics cause its at the dry cleaners, but I got me a (maybe) 80's, maybe older Abercrombie true safari jacket - long style, cinched waist, suede quilted shoulder. Anything worthwhile? Im in $7 to dry clean it. :)

PC's are vanity sized, so they aren't THAT small - likely best for a 30 waist.

Wouldn't they maybe even stretch to a 32, tho? :hide:

Best thing would be to date the jeans, then (ha ha) read through the entire APC thread.

Left this on the rack, should I have bought?

Also, how old is this label? Seen it on a sweater and pair of cords:

Are these AEs wore getting to restore and flip? Size 7 1/2.

Left this on the rack, hopefully it's there tomorrow morning. With pants,
