Ugh....need to go to Cal.e.for.ni.a, apparently. Mecca is calling.

+1. Barker Black and more Jil Sander shoes?! Crazy finds!!

Went a whole bunch of places and didn't find much that exciting. A cool Corneliani wool/silk tie and a pair of unknown maker/made in the USA goodyear welted brown wingtips in my size to replace my current pair that's in sad shape.

Yeah, the nice clothing finds have really dried out up here lately. I've had some good luck with odds and ends, though (household, etc) I need to make a trip to LA or Dallas. :sly:

DM7: You find insane clothing all the time. Do you ever look for electronics or high-end household stuff?

Also, does anyone recognize this label? Suit with trous, saw Made in Italy and was wondering if it'd be a decent flip:

Banana Republic of Europe. Quality so so but design is usually very cool. Their ads are striking. A fair basketball team in Italy, sponsored by them, too.

^^^ Mexicutioner & I thrifted the EXACT same RLPL gaudy striped shirt on the same day.  I'm not sure where he is located, but I came up with mine in OKC.  Weird.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T

You can thrift your flights via Captain Kirk. Last year NYC to Honolulu 430 return pp, three weeks before flight :slayer:
600 dollar room for 120 at Grand Hyatt. They even gave frq flyer points.

Hi. I came up with what I think is a vintage USAF A2 Flight Jacket (42) for $6 the other day and it got lost in the regular post traffic. Does anybody know anything about these types of things?

Thanks beforehand,

DM7 and I thrifted identical RLPL sweaters, including the red dot on the tag, probably not too many miles or hours apart! I recognize that blue tag too!

DM7 might have some friendly competition.

PM me so that we can go thrifting soon!

all of it is obv awesome but that parajumpers jacket is a RIDICULOUS find
This thing is legit, and the first Fur piece that I've thrifted. I actually don't know too much about it though. Tell me more?

OH **** need pics of the MMM shirt! Another epic haul, and that BV tie looks pretty boss....
@acosbysweater, how did you pull that off? New, waxed, and a buck and a quarter?

Thanks for the SSSSSSS info, thanks for commenting on my balls, and a show of hands for how many others ever thought they'd be refreshing their phone at all places, at all hours, glued to a thread dedicate to thrifted clothing...

size? available? give it to me? take my girlfriend as trade.
It's for me actually. I got so excited.

Super interested in the Zegna deets if they are a 48/50 EU.
They're larger. Sorry Spoo.

How in this crappy economy is one person able to find all of this. You would think an unemployed knowledgeable ex high end department store sales clerk would be collecting unemployment while thrifting 8 hours a day and making 50K a year on ebay...

Unbelievably awesome finds as always!! Now just find some damn size 36S suits!!!
The economy is mostly affecting the lower, middle, and in some cases upper middle classes. These items came from the filthy rich, who stay rich.

Also, those Brioni scores are insane! That's a great bit of luck.

I can now die happy. I will make you proud, Sensei!
Size on the Pink and TandA shirts? Available?
Epic, as usual. I'm DEF hitting LA as soon as I effing can. It could only be better if you could take me surfing anf thrifting on the same day.
Similar mission in progress.

Could you tell me more about the Barker Blacks? I don't know much about them. They just seemed legit.

My last few trips, I've taken quick strolls through the non-clothing sections, but I really don't know what to look for.

Missing my point....Im surprised you find so much stuff because I would expect more lower middle class people would be thrifting to make a living, aka more competition.

My guess is that it is not military issue. For one thing, it has "Air Force Type" on the label. For another, most authentic stuff has a contract number and contractor listed on the label.

Barker Black is really nice English made (I think) shoes with a edgy twist (skull & crossbones, brass rivets, etc). The guys behind the company are younger. I remember reading an interview with them in a magazine. I've only seen BB once at Scoop NYC in Vegas. On sale a pair of loafers were $430-ish. Retail is $700+.
