Looks perfectly fine to me if you're going for that professor/academic look. I really like the tie more than anything.

Having said that, if you're not comfortable in it, everyone else will be able to tell.

NWT Loro Piana 100% cashmere tie...Can a tailor remove the thread/airplane without damaging the tie? It's such a nice fucking tie, but I don't really want that stupid plane on the tip...

PS Shawl Tux jacket - no pants but figure it will still sell easily on the bay

Spencer Hart shirt, my size:

Bleeding madras tie made for a local men's store:

100% cashmere overcoat in my size.  It's a little beat up and nothing fancy (Club Room), but I didn't have a navy overcoat.  I think it's worth the $10 I paid for it:

Saw "Savile Row" and MOP buttons, so I picked this up.  (Was only $3)

Then I noticed this.  What's with the armpits?

Anybody interested in this?  I'm a thin guy, but this was cut too slim even for me.  I haven't measured it, but it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 16x36.  French cuffs.  Also it's monogrammed on the left side of the chest.  lol8[1].gif

This tie.  Whoa.  The brand is Edsor Kronen, which I gather is a fancy men's store in Berlin.  Says it's handmade.

Epic roadrunner tie.  As a New Mexican, I couldn't pass this up, even if it is stained.

Looks old.

I like the look but would rock a different color tie. Something with more contrasting color and pattern.

STORY TIME

So after my last class on Thursday, I hit up a few stores that I normally don't go to. Found absolutely nothing. Stopped by one last shop, which is a tiny charity shop in my town. Only thing I found was this for $2

Nothing special, just a BB toiletry bag. Opened it up once I got home, There is a small zip pocket on the inside. So I checked if there was anything in there, and there was. I saw a few dollar bills, but there was also a license. The license belonged to a super old dude from my town and had expired a few years before. I started to count the money to see how much was there, and what I thought were dollars, were hundreds. $400 fucking bucks!!! Since I had the dudes license, I at lest had to try and give it back. So I found his number online and gave it a call. His wife picked up, and told me that he had parkinson's before he died and would hide money in weird places. So I drove over to her house and gave her the money and she ended up giving me $100 as a reward. Felt pretty good about myself even though I gave up the four hundi, I still got about 50 times the amount i paid for the bag.

Anyway, since then I have had some pretty good luck....

Not really....the combo of all three actually have a kind of weird texture. Not soft like pure cashmere or cashmere/silk like I'm sure to.You can feel the weave.

I'll guess Angora goat, but it's really just a guess. I've seen Angora rabbit fur on smaller items for sure. I think I even have a pair of pants that I bought retail that have Angora rabbit fur in them and I even asked the salesperson about them. Is there a blue tag somewhere that says it was made for PRL EU? It should have a Swiss or UK address as well.

I like it, especially the tie.

Congrats Abed and Rando! Must be the reason things were so dry for me today.

Only really interesting item was this navy DB polo-style coat. Union tags date it to the 40's:

It actually fits, but I have no need for anything like this on the west coast.

Here's a thrift fit pic of my own from dinner last night with the Wifey:
