It depends. I just really loved the gold paisley on that one, and Polo ties are decently high quality.

This coat has a 100% silk lining. Does that make it an older coat? Also, made in Canada.

These are awesome. nod[1].gif. Not dogging on these - but I think these might be slightly more used than appearances show, as it looks like the soles and heels were painted black after use. I see so many auctions where people paint worn out soles black to make them look newer it drives me nuts.

Sorry - just a little rant - the shoes are beautiful nonetheless and don't look too worn either, as you stated.

I was at a GW the other day and noticed shapely blonde twins dropping off a large box at the donation side. As soon as they saw me they grabbed the box, ran over and explained it was full of recent Kiton suits with Hermes ties stuffed in the pockets.

They continued on to say that since I was the exact size and shape of their previous master it was the sign they were looking for and that I would have to take his place.

Gonna be tough to explain to my wife...

Love my Arctyrex Theta shell. Got it at a thrift for $1 (they joys of working for the Salvation Army) about 7 years ago. Thing must have been brand new. It was mint.

Had a big ffffuuuu.gif moment today. Whilst toddling around my usual thrift store haunt, I was speaking with another regular customer whom I often converse with as we both like high-end clothing and the like. I asked her if anything good was coming out today and her response was "Nope. Not today, but the other day was a different story. I found a silk Ferragamo scarf for $3 and I was pretty happy. Then a rack of new arrivals came out and I saw what looked like 4-5 more scarves hung on pants hangers on the end of the rack. I grabbed them and looked at what they were afterwards. They were all Hermes! Real Hermes. One thing I didn't notice until I got home was that 3 of them were designed by an artist and had the artist's name on them! $4 each!".

If only I could be there all the time.... rolleyes.gif

In any case, I did find a few cool things. Nothing exciting, but stuff I've been looking for and in my size. Pictures to come.

Also ran into MZHammer at the store I left those Zegnas behind at. It was great chatting with you for a bit and I'm glad those Zegnas were still there and worked for you!

Gamma AR... This'll be worth a pretty penny to someone. Wish it was my size!

Can anyone comment on how the sizing runs on these vintage-inspired Levis? I'm tempted, but have trouble with the fit in Levis sometimes... I have "cyclist's thighs", so that's usually the problem area.

Amadar that was my first thought as well. After looking online it seems that is how shoe is sold.

A couple of thrift fits. I am moving this weekend. My barber, who I've been going to for a long time, insisted we take a pic. Coincidentally, this is my last day having to wear a suit to work:

Southwick suit, thrifted
Ermenegildo Zegna shirt, thrifted
Ben Silver tie, thrifted
Allen Edmonds McNeil, gift from Randy

Woolrich jacket, thrifted
Brooks Brothers Milano chinos, $25 clearance
Mark McNairy for Bass moccasins, gift

^^ Really dig the Woolrich parka!

J Crew Slim F/W 2012 cardigan

J Crew gingham flannel shirt.

Williams Sonoma 18/10 Stainless Steel measuring cups. Almost identical to the All-Clad ones we've been eying.

Then I retract my statement (but not my general sentiment re: the process) happy.gif. Glad to hear they are not painted, and again - awesome find icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Saturday turned out to be a decent day for me, JCrew shirt (in my size) and the AE's I ordered from the bay for just under $70 arrived (Chili Stockbridge). Being my first pair of Allen Edmonds, I was shocked at the quality, even if they were just lightly worn (no imprint on the footbed). I think they still hadn't even been broken in, since I got them in my size but am still feeling some discomfort in the pinky toe, which I believe is customary with shoes until broken in, unless I'm wrong. As soon as they arrived, in went the shoe trees.

..but nothing today. dozingoff.gif
