Thanks, dudes.

DID YOU SEE THE CONTENT TAGS?? WOOL AND CASHMERE!! (or is that standard for Kiton?)

Edit: True story, when I was trying to talk the consignment store owner off her exorbitant price, she goes: Those went out recently. There were 8 of them originally. 6 of them sold on day 1. So, no, I'll be keeping the price as is.

Quoth I:

That's so short, I'd mistake it for a wimminz

Speaking of, forgot to mention: GM-H and I found a Rive Gauche today, too. Wimminz. Passed.

Unfortunately not....its a 46R, fits probably like a 44S (as GMMcL noted, the jacket is definitely shorter than standard).

Armani and Dunhill look legit to me.  Valentino probably is, but it doesn't matter...leave it.  I doubt Aquascutum is faked (I've never seen one at least).  Not sure what the last one is.

Edit:  Jeebus GMMcL.  Well done.

All of them have the same generic made in china paper $11.95 tags attached (still 99 cents each). Many of them have a chinese or korean sticker that was placed over the actual content/made-in tags. I peeled off the sticker on the Armani tie to reveal Silk Made in Italy.

Are these legit?

Unlikely to be as well received as Monday's, but it was cold and inclement, and I rocked the hell out of this Anderson & Sheppard CORDUROY suit.

GMMcL, OUT!
I have been searching for a pair of boots such as these for over a year now! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif WANTY! bounce2.gif

Meanwhile,

I didn't have a story to add to the recent ...
...until this week. Now I do.

On Tuesday, I was at Zip's Dry Cleaning ($2 for ANY garment! SRSLY!) waiting for a cotton PRL sport coat that I had in for a spot on the lapel. The gentleman next to me was also waiting for a shirt that had not been included in his last lot and the manager was looking for it. The man, in his late 60's or early 70's, was becoming agitated at the loss of his prized, short sleeved white shirt.

"It's a Claybrooke!" he stated with authority. "I just KNEW they would lose it!", he said, mostly to me as if seeking validation for his loss.

Just then, the manager came out from his office, triumphantly carrying the man's shirt and held it up for his approval, displaying the collar tag for identification purposes.

"Oh yeah. Stafford! That's right!", he proclaimed. He looked at me again so that I could bask in his fantastic stroke of luck. "How fortunate for you," I murmured and as I inched slowly away to the other side of the lobby, I could feel my skin shriveling from my body.

But wait. There's more. (Click to show)
As I age, I find that I have holes in my memory and I kept forgetting "Claybrooke" as the brand he thought he had lost. I feared that by the time that I would be able to type this, it would be completely gone from my brain cells. The last time I recalled it (yesterday morning in the shower angry.gif ), I used a little memory helper so that I wouldn't forget again. I knew that the name began with the letter "C" and I told myself to just think of Brooke Shields to help remember. As I was typing this morning, all I could think of was Britney Spears. I was completely lost and then a commercial came on TV featuring...BROOKE SHIELDS!

Just a couple of things from this week.

Versace Collection jacket. I think it's real, looks like Zegna's tag. I don't know Versace's hierarchy well, so I don't know where this fits into that. It is 30% viskose, is that weird?

Cool Borsalino. I love the ivory/cream color, I'm just uncertain when/wear I'd wear it.

Well, while I do my time in noob moderated purgatory, my posts are long buried by the time they get approved so no one will ever hear this amazing story.

I was at a GW the other day and noticed shapely blonde twins dropping off a large box at the donation side. As soon as they saw me they grabbed the box, ran over and explained it was full of recent Kiton suits with Hermes ties stuffed in the pockets.

They continued on to say that since I was the exact size and shape of their previous master it was the sign they were looking for and that I would have to take his place.

Gonna be tough to explain to my wife...

If anyone finds a 40-42 let me know.

Picked one of these up off eBay last month - it's great. Have never seen it at a thrift, though.
