I recently moved to the ventura/oxnard area in Southern California, and I think this place must be the Mecca of Thrift stores. It seems like there is a large and well stocked store on every corner. I'm happy to see nearly every piece of clothing I'm wearing today was acquired at thrift stores.

Nice. I'm pretty close to you and I gotta say, Oxnard and Ventura have a butt load and hella cheap thrift stores.

Nearly every piece? Keep working on it, then... icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Californians do a decent job of throwing out good stuff, don't they?

Waffle House sounds amazing right now. Just had my wisdom teeth out so it's nothing but apple sauce and soup for me for a while. frown.gif Nice suit, too!

Anyone else ever mistake for a split second the Stafford logo for Oxxford?

Xenos. Amazing.

Cleared the place out. At least now I know I can save some time by not thrifting for the next few weeks.

Is dm7 still thrifting in LA? I get the feeling that there's enough to go around for everyone down there. Definitely the promised land of thrifting!

Is there anybody left in this thread who hasn't bought a pair of The West is Dead pants yet (besides me)?
Me. I was just contemplating a pair in a tabbed browser. biggrin.gif

Xenos, is that BB one of the Thom Browne ones!? Looks great.

I would love to trade some of my thrift finds that are too small for me. I am a 46 and the world seems to be a 44.

I have two Canali suits (perfect) and a Hickey Freeman (also perfect) and a couple of sport coats at size 44. I also have the London Fog size 42 that I just posted in this thread. All of these items are listed on this site so just look under my profile for my posts.

I would trade for suits size 46, tweed, coats, shoes size 10 or anything else you might be interested in trading of close to equal value.

When those lines of reasoning don't work, I just blame Cotton Dockers.

Yep, happened to me today. Stepped out, unlocked the car. The wind blew. I then turned around and went back in to put on my down jacket, hat and gloves.

I need to give a big shout out to Fueco, for a fantastic trade biggrin.gif

Another big shout out to some of my local competition, Wizard Swears. Not only did he trade two Isaia shirts in my size for some Skeet Blanks, but he also let me walk out of the store with an Isaia jacket that he pulled off of the rack (even if it was an orphan). Thanks dude icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
