Found a dozen BB tab collar shirts, all 16.5x36. Like this (except my tabs have snaps instead of buttons and are must-iron):

http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCat..._VigLink_Brooks+Brothers+Product+Catalog#null

Not sure what the market is for these, but they are staple colors, some white, some blue, in perfect condition and freshly laundered. My best haul in awhile--it's been dry.

And I concur with others: I like reading Valium's posts.

Tonight:
Got these beauts...

I passed up some of those tonight, NWT, but they don't seem to sell very well. Mistake?

I'll let you know once I list them :tounge:

They're obviously some of the most god-awful jeans to ever grace the racks, but some reason they cost a ton new. Hoping I can at least get a little something for them.

Just browsed ebay again... not going for a lot, but we'll see how I do I guess.

It's been months since I've found anything decent in my size.

As for interesting stuff: did find a mint condition pair of Loro Piana black cords (size EU 54, which I think is a 36), that were really nice, and a pair of RRL jeans (40x27)
Nothing great, but two labels that I've only come across a couple times in years of doing this.

As for furniture:
There's an odd dining room table at one of the local shops, the whole thing is fairly Danish modern looking, the legs very much so.
But here's the odd thing, it's oak (not the usual teak, or stained beech) It's a really odd looking thing, I' thinking about buying it once they reduce the price.

Ok...so spent some $$ this week...one thing mainly. Cant decide if gonna keep since it's something I have wanted for since forever. Never seen one in the wild.
I drop pics later... BEWARE CRAPPY CELL PHONE PICS!
Hassy 500c w/80 and a 150. Extra viewfinder as well.

Wow nice one, may I ask how much?

I found one a year or so back, but the thrift store was asking $750 for it.

Thought I'd ask here: has had experience getting ebay feedback reversed for "feedback extortion" .

I'm pretty proud of my 100% rating, and last week some international buyer gave me a completely false, negative feedback without contacting me, and then asked me for a refund to remove it.

He was a huge problem from the get-go, I thin he regreted the purchase and is trying to get out of it, he asked for a refund after 3 days because he thought "international ships within in 3 days", meant "arrives in 3 days".

Came across a Willis & Geiger Wool Tie, Made In England with Nataku. Has anyone else ever heard of them making ties before? I can't find anything on google or ebay.

I think it's time for me to defend myself a bit. The doubting and accusing hasn't bothered me before now. I've taken it in stride, and at at times have found it funny. I just figured that I know what I've found, where I've found it, and how I've found it.

Recent posts have been inflammatory, and disrespectful. This forum is a community that I value, and part of a hobby that I enjoy, and I'd like to keep it that way.

As for the origin of my finds, here are the stats (the amount of times that I have bought from each):
Garage Sales: 2
Estate Sales: 1
Consignment Shops: 0
Discount Stores: 0
The rest of the items have come from true thrift stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army, and smaller local stores)

When buying from Garage and Estate sales, the prices have been very similar to thrift stores.

The most I have paid for a single item by a large margin was the Chanel Boutique piece that I found. It was $69.99.

As for connections I have, or people on the inside giving me tips to large hauls, there are none. I am very friendly to any employees that I get the chance to talk to, but I don't do this expecting any favors. I just find it nice to walk into a familiar store with familiar employees. Several times (3-4) these employees have given me Senior or Military discounts (usually 10%), however, I didn't ask for this.

Finding large hauls has either resulted from the pure volume of stores that I visit, or in some cases by doing a bit of thinking and legwork.

For instance: These Marc Jacobs jackets came from a large chain. This chain uses a central distribution network in such a way that all donations get processed through a single warehouse, then shipped off to various stores in the area. I first found a small number of the jackets at one of these stores. I knew which stores would possibly have more jackets based on several previous orphans that I had matched between stores. I found a few more jackets at other stores. By looking at some price tags, I determined when these stores would be getting a new shipment. I arrived at the largest of the stores 15 minutes before they opened, and picked up a bunch more jackets from that shipment.

Hopefully someone will find that helpful!

Now Valium, I'm speaking directly to you. Before now, the only times that I have quoted you, or referenced you, has been to congratulate you on a find. There is always a fair share of bickering in this thread, but until now it has maintained maturity and respect. Several of your posts show neither.

Quite a few prominent veterans on here have come to my defense from time to time. I appreciate it. It's not the amazing finds, or ebay bickering that keeps this thread alive and kicking: It's you guys who maintain a friendly, helpful, and complimentary community here.

so in your world suspicion equals jealousy?
you are either a simpleton or trying to get on my nerves, neither is of any consequence to me.
what am i jealous of,Marc jacobs? for wrangler?
regular jacobs doesnt sell never mind this stuff, thats why it ended up where it ended up.
DM7 will actually lose money on this even if he paid $5 per jacket ,he hasnt learned yet that just because theres a famous name on it it will sell.look at the completed sales on ebay,he will end up donating this back.its okay we all made those mistakes in the beginning.
what i dont understand is why you would think im jealous,im not trying to say im above that emotion.**** if he was pulling in Tom Ford or Kiton stuff you bet your ass i would be jealous.not only that i would be on the next plane to LA with $10K in my jeans and hitting those stores hard,he wouldnt even know what hit him my friend.it would take me 3 days max by deduction to find that store.
listen i have no doubt what so ever that these are from a thrift store, what i DO DOUBT is that they are "finds".
they are not, they are "served" with a timely text or hes got a deal with the manager, yes even on half day.
think about it, you hit one jackpot you are lucky, two very lucky, three you got horseshoes up youre ass, four you are a pro and have incredible timing...more then ten....well theres a scam going on.
like i said, more power to him.just dont piss down my back and tell me its raining is all im saying.
and by the way,i had five members pm me telling me they agree with me (you know who you are),so dont shoot the messenger.
anyway having said that im going to post one last time after this because i dont want to go out on a negative note, but im done posting here.
this Frenchy stuff is getting on my nerves and now you got **** heads like you and Man of lint getting on me as well.
for the record im not Frenchy, isnt Spoo a modertaor, run a ******* IP check and be done with it man.
im still going to lurk because i do enjoy seeing the finds, but its not fun for me to post anymore.

This is unlikely to assuage Frenchy Valium's jealousy suspicions of how dm7 comes about these bargains on the reg.....

You are the one bringing up the name Frenchy all the time. You type like him. You agitate others exactly like him.
Where does all this rage come from? What are you referring to? Why all the profane language and hostility?
Scroll back and provide evidence of these charges. There isn't any.
I've never attacked you but I certainly will place you on ignore. :)

why do you even bother posting here, you are as useless to this thread as a donkey dick on a monk.you obviously have disdain for thrifters and flippers and the items they find.
so why do you even bother to hang around here...you,you lint hoarder.

Quoted for further evidence. Keep it up Frenchie. You've been banned for this type of behaviour once already.
I enjoy this thread. I don't care if people flip or not. It doesn't affect my life in the least. I am happy for them.
Why you come to this forum to troll is beyond anyones comprehension. No friends offline?
Don't bother with a response. I have no choice but to place you on ignore.
You can use your tricks to create new accounts all you like but your behaviour will always give you away.
Really..give it a rest.

Thats clear extortion and you can get it removed, Im pretty sure. Call an agent and explain.

But, you will likely get a paypal dispute next, heads up.

+1 I have had luck when you have something in writing (though ebay messages) that the person demanded a refund based on removal of feedback, or demanded a refund OR they were going to leave feedback. As Spoo said, call them up, be very nice and patient and explain your concern. Dispute the crappy fees and bias for buyers in disputes, I have always had luck on the phone with someone who understands my concerns and ties their best to help with a case like this.

Copco Paella pan, new
Moncler down jacket
Vibram five fingers (size 41) just a tad too big

Congrats on that Hasselblad! I sold vintage cameras and typewriters for years on ebay, and never came across one in the wild. I knew they had to be out there. Amazing! ...For those of you who don't know cameras, that's easily worth $1,200-1,500. Maybe more depending on condition.

I did offer to buy the shirts even though too small, I felt bad as I knew you had bought them with me in mind.

...

Yes you did pal. :) Was not a problem as you can see. Turns out there are smaller dudes than you.
