Picked up this crazy nice bespoke blazer. Pick-stitching, handsewn everything, dual vent thingie. Unfortunately is has no name or label on it at all. Any way to figure out who made it? The buttons say something about King Alfred School Society.

How the heck do you guys do these mirror pics all the time. Please ignore the wrinkles and the dirty mirror.

I didn't quote the rest of the advice. Does anyone here ever read the other threads on SF? nest.gif

Hey Wes, I re-looked at your fit pic and are those divots on your shoulders? The armholes might be too tight for your upper arm.

Thanks guys for the help! I wore a tux for a few weddings, they didn't fit right at all, and someone else picked out the accessories.

Thanks Dig, this is just what I was looking for. I do usually do a quick search of the forums, but I like to come here, because here is where the people I know and trust live. It's like a good friend telling you about a book you should read.

My large arms and shoulders have plagued me with fit issues for shirts and suits my entire adult life. I can't even wear a properly fitting t-shirt without first ripping the seams in the pits. Always have to size up.

Have any of you guys had success with getting wrinkles out of ties with a steamer? I passed on about 10 awesome, old school black label BB unlined repp ties yesterday, because they were pretty wrinkled. I'm thinking I might go back for them.

Always too nervous to try...

I did see racks of polo shirts, so spring stuff is really coming out to the floor. I wonder if they assume people take late winter/early spring holidays and want to start selling it early or whether they're following retail trends (or both).

I'll get pictures of everything tomorrow, but if you're in need of a knit wool tie, let me know!

+1 on knit wool ties! I'd be interested in certain colors!

After reading the second guide. I contacted my sister....forgot it was so early in CA. She said to go for it, don't worry about what the other guys are wearing. Now I am waiting for her to send me her boyfriends measurements, I am going to try to black tie him as well.

Good question....I sold them all...the studs I mean. Cufflinks are no problem of course.

BTW, I posted this in SW&D and if any of you guys have suggestions, I'd be grateful. The whole thing is sports related, I'm just not sure what type of shirt to wear.

I'm mostly a MC (or is that CM?) guy but I will be attending a very casual "Casino Night" event at a 2 day business seminar in about a month. The dress code, I have been reliably informed, will be jeans and whatever and based on previous events hosted by my company, I expect to see lots of baseball and football jerseys over Wal*Mart denim, etc. so the door is pretty much wide open.

I want to wear this jacket over dark Levis, either 501s or Levis STF, depending on what fits better that week. shog[1].gif

Is this thing best for a tee ...
(...likely with a sports team logo much like this...) (Click to show)
or should I wear a collared, Ben Sherman-ish untucked shirt?

I'm thinking that these will do for foot wear.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated as I'm obviously fairly lost on this.

In "The World of Style According to foo.gif " the studs should NOT match the links. I'm not that advanced so YMMV!
