New Goodwill opened next town over (glad I missed the CEO at the grand opening...what would I say? "How long's it gonna be before the prices go up to ridiculous prices depending on brand?").
Brought home a couple Zegna ties, a super soft 1991 Bobby Jones wool SC in purple plaid over forest green (looks really cool). Also found these pebble grains with maybe the fattest soles I own. "Comfort Arch" and "Hand Lasted" in gothic letters is all I got. Tried to give the faint numbers in pics, we'll see how they look on screen.
Who made them? You guys recognize the tells?
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Oooohhhh....my Google-fu was stronger than I thought. They're Crown Windsor by Bostonian. Next question, WTF are those? Some AAAC dude called them "as good as contemporary Aldens" but does that pass your smell test?
Also, shell or not? Usually it's obvious to me but because of the grain I am 50-50 as to yes or no. Wes? Mainy?
