+1, but this is only going to accentuate the shortness of the vest, since his tie and shirt will be showing. Technically Easy is correct, but most folks out there won't notice that button buttoned. They WILL notice your shirt muffin topping out your trou.
My vote? Leave it buttoned. And yes that suit looks KILLER with the red tie.

I'm rarely a paisley guy (which I think I told you when you kopped the RLPL paisley off me), but that tie -- the texture and the colors -- is teh sexchs.

Not sure whether this is universal, and will disclaim that I have NOT researched this. But I suspect you would have at least a plausible claim that they have to honor the tag price. It's the classic mistaken coupon situation: It's an offer to sell, and you've accepted. They can CANCEL that price, but only after giving you notice. You accepted their offer before they canceled. I'm sure one of you young bucks is going to tell me I'm wrong, and the UCC actually has some kind of exception on point, but at the very least, I would have made my dissatisfaction highly audible, and would definitely have asked for a manager and threatened to call the Better Business Bureau AND TJX customer service.

That's all I EVER find for ties at TJX. LeSigh.

More thread synergy: This logo is on the shells I bought about a week ago. I'd seen it before, too, on another pair of seriously trashed shoes.
Speaking of: Reminds me that I saw this UNBELIEVABLE pair of Brooks Brothers Made in England suede wingtips. Turned the first one over? Just over a couple of Jacksons. Got really excited. Grabbed the second one and there was literally a HOLE in the side of the shoe that I could have put a pingpong ball through. I think this dude's dog got a hold of his shoe. It was so depressing.
And speaking of holes (yes, I see it): That canali shirt I got the other day? Massive hole in the arm that I missed in the store.
If you're following along at home, that's a $7 set of pearl buttons, ladies and gentlemen.

Dude, am I the oldest regular on this thread (HS '94)?
2 stores yesterday. Crapola at the store that yielded the dozens of Hermes/quality ties. But the [Breach of the Warranty of] Goodwill [and Fair Dealing] yielded a pair of RRL beige denim, a nice Venetian (the city; can't recall the brand but I think it had Venice in the name too) tie in a burgundy polka dot (that turns out is 4.25" wide!!
) and a pair of reverse orphan, super recent Zegna su misura (missing tag, otherwise it would have been jacked the eff up) glenplaid trou with a gorgeous light blue overcheck. All at reasonable prices. Will be stopping by later this week to see if I can reunite the trou with the jacket -- without having to drop $150 just for the Zegna name.
